So, the original psychic interrogation secondary was:
Psychic Interrogation (Psychic Action - Warp Charge 4): One PSYKER CHARACTER unit from your army can attempt to perform this psychic action in your Psychic phase if it is within 24" of any visible enemy CHARACTER models.
It then lost the visible requirement to:
Psychic Interrogation (Psychic Action - Warp Charge 4): One PSYKER CHARACTER unit from your army can attempt to perform this psychic action in your Psychic phase if it is within 24" of any enemy CHARACTER units.
And now
Psychic Interrogation (Psychic Action - Warp Charge 5): One PSYKER CHARACTER unit from your army can attempt to perform this psychic action in your Psychic phase if it is within 24" of and visible to any enemy CHARACTER units.
So they didnt revert back to the original wording. The most obvious thing this does is mean that 18+ wound models can always be interrogated within 24" if you have true line of sight. But my question is around something I think I saw somewhere (maybe Goonhammer) that this may be interpreted to mean that the unit that satisfies the first condition doesnt have to be the same character unit that satisfies the second condition.
As an example scenario, if I have a neurothrope that is out of sight of a chaplain who is 20" away, but visible to a librarian who is 25" away.
Under the original version, I clearly can't interrogate as the neuro is not within 24" of a visible enemy character - the chaplain is not visible, and the libby is too far away.
Likewise, under the previous version I clearly can as I'm within 24" of the chaplain.
Under the Arks GT pack, can I do it? Am I within 24" of any enemy characters? Yes. Am I visible to any enemy characters? Yes. The use of the word 'any' here is what seems to be the sticking point, as it doesnt say 'a' or 'the target' enemy character.
Have people aware of any TO rulings on this?
Cheers
