Hello everybody. after the leviathan nerf I have to review the list for the tournament I have in mid-November.
I thought I was bringing a very aggressive kraken list.

I am undecided on a couple of things the first whether to replace the zoanthropes and Pirovore with the maleseptor.
the second, but is the flyrant so essential on this type of table?
I was considering replacing it with one on foot.
any advice is welcome.

It looks like a fun list to play not very competitive
How are you going to deal with mechanized lists? or T7-8 targets? or gun lines?
You have to few weapons and your troops are a glass houses. Yes they pack a punch but if they come under fire they die very easy there is 0 backbone.

In a 1k competitive list things should be multi Function and cheap as possible.
So one you should leave tyrant guard at home. They just take up to much points and they do nothing for your army. Drop them and with the points that are free now scratch off the zoats to.
this way you have points for a second walking tyrant. it does basically the same as these 2 units but give him a HVC to deal with T7-T8 stuff he can also cast 1 more spell is faster then the other units
win win much more competitive.

with 2 hyve tyrants you alre3ady have 4 spells so i would leave the neuro at home and with the points that are left over look for a fex with HVC , screamer or a Mawloc
something like a Mowlac he can push enemy units of objectives. It also plays mind games on your opponent.

a fex with a HVC can help with T7-8 targets or heavy infantry .

a screamer with AG has M11 it can keep up with your ravengers and has the ability to shoot @s8 if you need it.
nice for a fast pace army.

Zoans and Neurothropes are fantastic for smaller games, I wouldn’t recommend dropping them.

Maybe drop 1 Pyrovore to have AGs and VCs on both Warriors though so you have a bit more S8 in the list. Last 5 pts could be TS on the Tyrant.

not knowing how to take off my guard I am always quite afraid that the fly rant will greet me in the first round.
I honestly hadn't taken into account the lack of heavy artillery on the list.
I have a doubt about playing two hive tyrant starting with 0 cp is not a huge disadvantage?
also walking the tyrant and flanking him with two screamers or fex with HVC I don't see it very well with the kraken but rather with the jorm.

I think the list looks good. Your 'heavy artillery' is mortal wounds and the flyrant. This list can handle a knight list at 1k points. The only thing I'd maybe change is combine the warriors into a 5 man and give them Adrenal Glands and flesh hooks, then split the pyrovores into 2 units so that they can hold separate backfield objectives. This gives you another offensive punch unit that can punch above its weight.

You'd have another 10 points to spend, so you could drop the flesh hooks and give Adrenal Glands to the Tyrant Guard, or just give Toxin Sacs to the Flyrant

IMHO always take Onslaught and Catalyst on your most reliable caster - the Neurothrope. One might argue Paroxysm is more important than Catalyst for Kraken (it's also WC7) but ymmv. Powers like Neuroparasite and PsyScream should go on Zoans and Flyrant so they can cast something out of LoS.

If it hasn't happened yet, changing the flyrant to a walkrant with shardgallet would be a safe way of saving some points and being able to reach out and hurt the enemy from the safety of the t.Guard.

2 tyrants at this point level may as well just go full monster mash skew.

yes the tournament has already happened the list has performed quite well.

the only problem I had at the level of the game was taking off unlucky shots and the first game I met a very nice but extremely slow player. closed at the end of my second shift, in my favor. getting few points.

it was the last against tau it seemed to me to play one way.

the list i brought was slightly different than the above always. a plate of warriors with 5 glands and two pyrovor take objectives.
i would like to ask the question how do you play against tau? starting from the assumption that in the center field there was not even an obscuring ground.

next lap I thought about bringing a Jorm with Wolkrant, with neurotropic guard, 3 double canifex warriors and a Tfex with cannon.

I'm not 100% sure but in past editions, making base contact with tay is usually enough to kill them in mass. At no point in the past have I ever seen a tau list lose to a cautious player. They win in the prolonged shooting game, so don't fall into that trap, ... Maybe if your playing guard then you could go for the gunline mirror match.... Anyway, take my opinion with a grain of salt since I don't have a lot of games in 9th ed under my belt, tomorrow Ill be playing against tau and I'll let you know how it goes.

some things like the t-fex with the cannon and the mini plate of warriors don't convince me.
I'm also a bit skeptical about the secondary ones.

Hi everyone, I'm writing on the post I made some time ago.
soon I have a tournament always small format (1000 points) and honestly I don't know where you hit your head. after this doomhammer. that's why I'm here to ask for advice, even if it's maybe a bit premature.
I was just undecided about a list with one core. of double whalkrant one focused on shooting the other on melee. protected by guard and here the beauty of 530 pt flies and there are not a few I thought a biofleet on the defensive like jhorm so the tyrants take the safe target.
alternatively a nice tervigone glands and equipped for the cac with 2 gant units one of 19 and one of 30. I tried this list last week against sisters. was supported by the presence of a neurotropic sypathetic and a maleseptor. finally I put a mortex with a bag to make secondary I must say that both parasite and maleseptor have made the game.
I have several ideas but the format of points makes me feel a little tied up.
Thank you all for each condiglio that I'm really in a bit of a crisis with this list. more unfortunately time is short and this massacre was not needed.
