Toxin Sacs and Domination of the Hive Mind

I need help resolving an issue to make sure I’m not cheating:

Toxin sacs says, “Each time the bearer makes a melee attack, an unmodified hit roll of 6 automatically wounds the target.”
Domination of the Hive Mind says, “each time a model makes an attack, you can re-roll the hit roll.”

If I put Domination on a unit with Toxin sacs, and upon re-rolling a die or dice that missed which then comes up 6, does that hit auto-wound, or is it only the 6’s that happened before the re-roll.

I honestly don’t know, and I don’t want to get accused of cheating, because this can make noticeable difference in damage output for my Hormagaunt swarms.

Yes, a reroll result of 6 is an unmodified roll of 6. The unmodified part is referring to bonuses and debuffs. If for instance you rolled a 5 with a +1 to hit rolls, it would not count as an unmodified 6. If you rolled a 6 but were under the effect of something that gave -1 to hit rolls, it would still count as an unmodified 6.

If you ever get confused keep in mind the correct order of resolution when rolling dice:
1. Normal rolls
2. Re-rolls
3. Apply modifiers
4. Apply Effects

The Toxic sac would be applied at the last step, after Re-rolling. The rule specifies that it is a unmodified roll, so for the purposes of Toxic Sac effect, skip step 3, as infornography correctly explained.

Note: you may only reroll each die (singular of dice) once. So, if I am shooting and have rerolls to 1s, I cannot just keep rerolling all the 1s I'm getting.
