If you run 15 Termas remember that only one of them dead will prevent the unit from providing LoS to Tervi.
What's the reasoning behind spending a CP on Swarmy trait? Or even better - what's the reasoning behind including him at all without Tyrant Guards? He'll be a 240 points fire magnet giving one Core unit hit rrs before dying. Flyrant would be much more useful. Or Neuro + 3 Zoans.

Yeah, gaunts (esp Levi) without zoan imperative...30 man lets you keep them up (it's 1k, so even without zoan probably going to live, but it's 'probably' rather than 'what can even kill them') and chain for objectives. I don't like both DL and parasite: both mostly util pieces, and at 1k you're severely lacking in non-util. It does give you a scoring focus, but your primary game should be well handled with the terv+gaunts, and as is those aren't super helpful for secondaries.

Depends on what exactly the context is?

I needed 3 troops units for the Detachment, and wanted to stay under 1000 points, and so I kept the gaunt units at 15 to keep my mama bug screening options. As for the additional warlord trait, I wanted to get Onslaught on both my gaunt units, but now with a 30 gaunt unit, I can cast Onslaught on both the gaunts and warriors so they can close the distance and charge (even on turn one). I do like the flyrant a lot; but I wanted to try out the synergies with Swarmy in a full on charge and "try to take me off the objective, I dare you" approach. Leviathan is so tanky, I've withstood two turns of multiple units charging without taking a single wound. It's nuts. Permanent TP on your whole army 's synapse creatures is just insane. I was thinking of pushing another unit of warriors in there, but I do love my mama bug. FYI, you can use the Hive Tyrant synaptic imperative with Swarmy, even if you don't have a tyrant on the board. Even so, Swarmy did real well closing in turn 1 with a unit of intercessors in a recent game with an Ultramarines player and offing the whole unit (I did kill 2 of his models with a supersmite in Psychic phase, but still...) and then no one wanted to take the mid board as they thought they'd be charged by Mr. Swordhands, leaving my warriors and Deathleaper to run around mowing down his backline and the gaunts screening for the mama, who just waded down the left side of the board eating up units and powering up her Maw Claws. Unfortunately, I didn't see much use from my Parasite as he exploded on Turn 2 and never got to inject ripper babies into anyone. Been thinking about buffing up my Psychic with zome Neuro/Zoans, but they seem pricey.

You list is showing as matched play (Nephilim), you can only attempt to manifest Onslaught once per psychic phase in matched play.

Swarmy is okay in Levi, it is better with Obsec. You also have pretty much nothing to use SLs abilities on. SL wants 5+ Warriors, 10/15 AG Horms, Carnifex, TG, Zoans, Venomthropes, and/or Pyrovores. For the same price, a Neuro and 3x Zoans would be worlds better in your list. I’d also drop the Parasite for more Warriors; PoM is not good without Gestation Sac and/or Alien Cunning.

Patrol detachment lets you take less than 3 Troops (1 is enough). You only really need batallion of you want to take more than 2 HQs.
I don't really understand what you're saying about Onslaught - you can only ever cast (attempt to cast to be exact) a power once per psychic phase so there is no way to have two units with Onslaught on them.
Oh and I know full well the killing potential of the Swarmlord. But there will be times he'll get blown off the table T1 without TGs protecting him and with 9" move you won't be able to reliably deliver him to the opponent's face asap. But if you really want him he is another reason to go 30 Termas - with his and Tervi's buff you will get 30 shots hitting on 3s with full rrs.

A very good point; I was making a CP detachment this morning. Always learning, I am.

Truth be told, I'm a 9e newb and haven't had a whole lot of people telling me where I've goofed up. I missed the part in the Rules where you can't cast the same power twice (like you can with Smite: "With the exception of Smite, you cannot attempt to manifest the same psychic power more than once in the same battle round, even with different Psyker units." [Core PDF Pg14, Book Page 214-215]). I will probably switch out my PoM for another block of warriors; they're just so good in Leviathan. I did really like the PoM; he's a great mobile synaptic link filler, move him to plug holes in synapse and use his stratagem to drop MW on a unit he passed over in the process.  So, until I get enough cash to be able to switch out for a Neuro/Zoans, ol' Swarmy's my Warlord for now. What would be a better choice for Swarmy's Hive Mind Discipline? Paroxysm? Catalyst for the 5+ FNP?

SL can have 2x Hive Mind powers, and Onslaught is a little do or die w/o a Neuro for my taste. I would recommend Paroxysm and Catalyst since both are good if they go off, but not hurtful if they fail.

I'm curious what you mean by Onslaught  being "a little do or die w/o a Neuro" - do you mean without the Neuro's Warp Siphon power - Roll 3, drop lower one to ensure that it goes off - it's not worth taking?

Sort of: generally if you advance for a charge, you're going to massively overextend. If you then fail onslaught, you've thrown a unit away basically for free. WC6 isn't unreliable if you've got the CP to rr, but it's still a risk. Neuro brings a lot to the table to make that more reliable: innate +1, 3d6 drop one (should generally also either have double link or res barb), and even imperative sometimes. You can plan your turn around onslaught going off with neuro and be pretty happy that your reaper flyrant's not going to be stuck out in the open and die (still not guaranteed, but close enough for a gameplan to assume as such).

Without neuro, I wouldn't necessarily say it's terrible don't bring it, since it's still likely to go off, and sometimes you're in a situation where there's either no other good choice, or no big downside. And then you want onslaught. But it's much better with neuro.

Also, the extra distance from the advance is less meaningful on incursion sized battlefields. Defensive buffs like Catalyst and Paroxysm are stronger in smaller games as the opponent just has less army output.
