So the Aussies took a grand slam, won the WTC teams, singles AND best sports. Impressive. But I can't find the army lists (not paying for BCP). Especially the top singles lists would be interesting to look at.

Thank you! Seems Australia had a Tyranid player in the team, also Eric Lathouras with GSC. It doesn't look like these are the singles event lists. I miss the days when you could read tournament reports in forums. I'd like to read Aussi battle reports and the singles event.

I love that Polish list, takes the Leviathan durability to the extreme, and in a team tournament can hopefully avoid bad matchups. I guess he did very well with it, seeing they made second place. Poland are usually one of the very best 40K nations.
Btw, has it been errata'd that we can't equip Warriors with both venom cannons and barbed stranglers (2 cannons per 3 models)?
Anyone knows were we can see the singles event top finishers?

When they did the FAQ about Hive Tyrant double HVC they never changed the rules for warriors, so as it stands you can take both cannons in a unit of 3 and 2/3 in a 6/9 unit

Good to know. It seems post-nerf most top Tyranid lists are skipping on the Barbed Stranglers for Warriors.

Honestly, I would only put Barbed Stranglers on my warriors if they were a min sized backfield counterpunch/objective holding/babysitting unit to give them more range and more ranged punch. I wouldn't bother with them on a unit intended for front or midfield due to increased cost and decreased need for longer range. That said, if you are taking warriors for that backfield role, I 100% think the Barbed Strangler is absolutely worth adding.

I dunno, BStrangler is always a nice surprise for me. Despite modest stats, the volume of shots always gives decent amount of wounds. I am running 9x Warriors with +1hit, reroll 1 on to hit and to wound and Jesus Christ, they work wonders. I've also never had issues of midfield, as they tend to destroy everything in melee (leftovers are easily cleaned with precision Smites) and are able to shoot each phase.
But if I really, REALLY needed to cut 15 points, that would be my fist spot.

Eh, 5pts for a weapon that will be less effective against a majority of targets (and barely more effective vs preferred targets) isn’t what I would call a compelling take. If BS was free or had AP-2, sure I’d put pts there. However, I’d rather spend pts anywhere else as is.

Yeah, and the volume of fire isn't that notable. Barbed vs DS you are looking at an average of 3.5 attacks vs a guaranteed 3 attacks. You get +1 str at the cost of -1 AP. And with AoC being a thing that -1 AC makes a BIG deal. Really by my estimation, the only thing the Barbed brings to the party is extra range unless you are battling Eldar or something else with T3 and a high invuln and/or low save. The DS is way better against AoC no matter how you slice it unless the DS can't hit due to range.

I was strongly considering him in a list with 2x9 Warrior blobs with Synaptic Tendril wlt. But lets be honest - if you're about to give ST to a char, first pick is going to be the Neuro. But he's a perfect little bugger for the Direct Guidance wlt. Buffing 9 Warriors with +1 to hit and rerolling 1 to wound is awesome. He's an easy to hide Infantry model, can do actions, can do some decent shooting and has good melee. Is he worth 85 pts? I'd say yes but it's still tough to stick him in a list.

Is there anywhere we can find the tournament results outside of BCP paywall?

My fellows from Poland went second I'm listening to a recap of TWF www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRWpRaBdWzE I love Germany's skewed Tyranid list, focused on mortal wounds. As I understand it Poland were the only team that beat them and the only loss for their Tyranid player. Would love to hear more about it, if you know anything? And more about the Polish Tyranid list, what was his matchups? Against the winning Australia team I understand he lost against Tau. Any Australian board members here? Do you know if they have any 40K forum? Or is everything on Discord/Snapchat/Facebook these days? TWF died long ago, Dakkadakka is on steady decline. It seems TTH is the last man standing were you can have posted discussions. Player 1: Michael Gemmeke Team: Germany Faction Used: Tyranids Army Points: 2000 Reinforcement Points: 0 Number of Units/Killpoints: 16 Pre Game Stratagems: Warlord Trait, Hive Predator, Rarefied Enchancements Starting Commandpoints: 3 Warlord & Trait: Neurotrophe: Synaptic Tendrils Army Trait: Synaptic Imperatives Secondary Objectives Information No Prisoners: 83 Bring it down: 7 Assassination: 16 Abhor the Witch: 17 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Leviathan Battalion -3CP Synaptic Control, Relentless Hunger (Feed Biomorph) HQ: Neurothrope (WARLORD) Warlord Trait: Synaptic Tendrils (-1CP) Psychic Powers: Catalyst, Onslaught, Hive Nexus HQ: Neurothrope Psychic Powers: Hive Nexus, The Horror, Paroxysm HQ: Neurothrope Psychic Powers: Hive Nexus, Catalyst, Psychic Scream 10 Gargoyles 10 Gargoyles 10 Termagants 3 Zoanthropes Psychic Powers: Hive Nexus, Neuroparasite 3 Zoanthropes Psychic Powers: Hive Nexus, Neuroparasite Lictor Maleceptor Psychic Powers: Hive Nexus, Psychic Scream, Neuroparasite Parasite of Mortrex - Hive Predator: Alien Cunning (-1 CP) Parasite of Mortrex - Rarefied Enchancements: The Dirgeheart of Kharis (-1 CP) 3 Biovores Harpy - 2xHeavy Venom Cannon, Voracious Ammunition Harpy - 2xHeavy Venom Cannon, Synaptic Enhancement NFO: 3 Zoanthropes Psychic Powers: Hive Nexus, Psychic Scream What would you say are the weakest matchup for this list? I'd guess Drukhari or similar lists; fast sacrifical MSU. I wonder what secondaries he took.
