Yes I know this has been discussed many times already but I need a final clarification.
1. The MWs are scored at wound roll, before any saving throws, right? They are allocated after normal damage but are scored at "successful wound roll". Rules describing the situation:
*** WOUND ROLL
Each time an attack scores a hit against a target unit, make a wound roll for that attack by rolling one D6 to see if that attack successfully wounds the target.
*** MULTIPLE ATTACKS THAT INFLICT MORTAL WOUNDS
Some attacks can inflict mortal wounds either instead of, or in addition to, the normal damage. If, when a unit is selected to shoot or fight, more than one of its attacks that target an enemy unit have such a rule, all the normal damage inflicted by the attacking unit’s attacks are resolved against that target before any of the mortal wounds are inflicted on it.
2. Toxin Sacs. If a 6 to-hit is rolled while the model has TS this equals to an auto-MW.
3. The target cannot use any abilities that ignore wounds caused by the weapon, no matter what kind of wounds. So an ability saying "you can ignore MWs on 5+" is also voided. No FnP rolls will work either. Is there anything that can negate RoO wounds apart from armor/inv roll? Are MWs... unavoidable?
This also stretches to rules saying "a model can only suffer X wounds per phase". Rule from Appendix:
IGNORING WOUNDS VS RULES THAT PREVENT MODELS FROM IGNORING WOUNDS
Some models have a rule that says that they cannot lose more than a specified number of wounds in the same phase/turn/battle round, and that any wounds that would be lost after that point are not lost. When such a model is attacked by a weapon or model with a rule that says that enemy models cannot use rules to ignore the wounds it loses, that rule takes precedence over the previous rule, and if that attack inflicts any damage on that model, it loses a number of wounds equal to the Damage characteristic of that attack, even if it has already lost the specified number of wounds already this phase/turn/battle round.
4. In the case of Flyrant these rules do not apply to "Tyrant Talons " attacks as the rules for Reaper say "attacks made with this weapon".
5. Any other tips&tricks I forgot about?
