Tyranids 1000 points beginner list - Designed to learn the g

Hi guys,

I'm new to Tyranids and 40k in general, but I've been picking up some models over the last few weeks and have been building them. With that in mind, I've designed a 1k list mainly based on learning the game and synergies rather than trying to be competitive.

Here's the list;

1x Trygon (Magnetised to be a Trygon, Trygon Prime or Mawloc)

Looks decent enough for the models you have. The Heightened Senses on the Tyrant is wasting the Levi/Whip rr’s. Note, you don’t have to have a WLT on your WL. I think the CP would be better spent giving the Terv Maw Claws. That way you’ve got two decent melee threats.

Note the 'EW' mission pack. Which...it's EW, but it's also a beginner game, so whatever.

That said, adaptive biology (or perfectly adapted if you want to go in on the shardgullet more) is a better WLT.

Ah, I didn't realise I'd checked the EW box, it's not actually an Eternal War game.

In terms of changes I've made thus far, I've changed the WLT on the Tyrant to Adaptive Biology, and I've managed to switch in 3 Zoanthropes by dropping the Tyrant Guard, a single Termagant, and removed the Adrenal Glands on the Tervigon.
