Battleforged, hive tendril, tyrant guard.

Okay so all Tyranids have the hive tendril faction right? And that's why they're battleforged because an army is battleforged if they all are of the same faction? In what situations would they not be battleforged? Tyrant guards have the ablative brood ability, does this mean if I'm using a hive tyrant I can exceed the elite unit cap of 2 by bringing one of these units because I'm using a hive tyrant? Thanks in advance!

Edit: battlescribe gets angry when I add tyrant guard as my third elite choice.

In addition to HQ / Elites / etc, Battlescribe has a section called 'No Force Org slot'. If you have a Hive Tyrant in your detachment then Tyrant Guard will be available there.
The same applies to Zoanthropes/Neurothropes, Warriors/Prime, and so on.
