So, I'm very recently getting back into playing after a long time, so please excuse if it turns out my entire way of viewing this isn't great.
I really love the stone-crusher carnifexes, the rams and the huge claws just look so much better than the standard one. But comparing them, the standard has better M, WS, S, W and Save, all by 1. Probably more importantly also has the abilities Armoured Exoskeleton and Monstrous Brood. Yet stone-crusher costs 5 points more, are the wrecker claws and rams really worth those differences?
It's gotten my attention because I didn't realise that forgeworld units would also get their points adjusted. So my question really, is are we likely to see any change that brings these more in line with the standard unit, or are they stuck this way until a new forgeworld book comes out with them in? Or perhaps as legends now that the model is discontinued? I just don't really know how these things are handled now.
Whatever happens I'll probably still use them. I only play casual games with friends, so it doesn't really matter. But, I would like to feel like I'm not deliberately taking a worse option just because I like it more.
