GSC Allies and impact on nids-Dallas Open

What do nids lose when they ally with GSC?  Is it just synaptic imperatives or do we also lose adaptations AKA our hive fleet bonus.  

I think it is clear that you lose synaptic imperatives but I think the other is debatable.  Does anyone know how it was ruled at places like the Dallas Open that did have a few players with Forces lists?

Should just be Imperatives. Adaptations are on a per detachment basis of all units containing Hive Tendril.

Hoping it gets errata'd but currently you lose your Adaptation if you bring GSC.

If every unit from your army (excluding HIVE TENDRIL LIVING ARTILLERY and UNALIGNED units) is from the same hive fleet, all HIVE TENDRIL units with this ability, and all the models in them, gain a Hive Fleet Adaptation.

Hive Fleet Adaptations:

So the restriction of all units in the army only applies to units that have a <Hive Fleet> keyword. Units that do not have a <Hive Fleet> keyword are not considered for determining if you do/do not gain a Hive Fleet Adaptation. Compare that to Synaptic Imperatives, which requires every unit in the army to have the Hive Tendril keyword.

I kinda agree with this but I hope the FAQ will make it officially but I was really someone knew how the Dallas GT handled it since some players did have Forces lists and its a true GW event.

The Hive Fleet Adaptation section under Hive Fleet is more specific, so it should take precedence over the Hive Fleet Adaptation section under Detachments (Specific > General). Having two rules conflict with each other in the same codex makes 0 sense, yet another shining example of how much care GW put into Nids...
