50 point Crusade Leviathan

Heya Hive-minders,
I'm about to start a 50PL crusade campaign with my nids. I've been out of 40k since 5ed, I think. My idea is a solitary injured hive ship has recently managed to launch a norn queen to a nearby planet. I'm limiting myself at first to non-monster units. The idea is the hive needs more biomass to be able to produce the bigger units. So here's my initial ROSTER:
1 x Neurothrope 5 PL
1 x Tyranid Prime 5 pl
20 x hormagants 8 pl
10 x termagants 4 pl
3 x Warriors 4pl
5 x Genestealers 5pl
1 x lictor 4 pl
3 x raveners 4 pl
3 x rippers 2 pl
3 x rippers 2 pl

Let me know what you think. My plan for a 25 PL patrol is to rush with the horms with the neuro in support to tarpit as much of the enemy as possible. I'd use the warriors and terms to hold an objective or two and raveners to take out outlier units and contest objectives.

Deathleaper and Parasite are both fun utility units that get better with WLTs/Relics. you could include in the roster swapping out the lictor and Prime/GS for them. example 25 PL lists using them:

Neuro
20x Horm
3x Warrior
Deathleaper
3x ripper

Neuro

3x Warrior
Parasite

So, I just played a game vs Space Wolves. I got tabled. My rule against monsters is really hurting me. I might allow myself 1 monster. I'm also going to spam melee. The termagants were near useless. The rippers and horms did phenomenally, but were let down by my (please do not swear) rolls.

SW are probably going to out melee you w/o Monsters, Lightning Claws wreck us pretty bad. For Crusade rosters, are you able to give the Horms Adrenal Glands and Toxin Sacs from the get-go since it's PL based? Those upgrades would help mitigate bad rolling.

I was shocked he was able to field a psyker, a termie squad, assault intercessors, regular intercessors and a wolf. My Dark Angels list wasn't able to reasonably fight termies

I have to admit I'm tempted to bend my own rule to allow me ONE monster. At 7 PL and with a move of 10", the Screamer Killer could be a could fit. I think I'll wait until we start playing 50 PL games, though.

I'll be playing again Sunday and thinking of taking this list:

Nuerothrope or Tyranid Prime 5PL
2 units of 10 hormagants 8PL total (for flexibility)
Lictor (or more hormies?) 4 PL
3 x raveners 4PL
Parasite of Mortrex 4 PL

-Is the parasite a Named character? No restriction against taking multiples.

Parasite is not a names character, you can take multiples if you’d like.

By not having so many Synaptic units probably Leviathan is not the best choice for you, I'd go for Behemoth or even better Kraken for the extra mobility that will help you on playing the mission and dictating the time of the game.

About monsters, many of them are undercoated and our infantries other than Warriors and Pyrovores tend to be overcosted and fragile.

And try to bring one 15 man unit of hormagaunts (to use their stratagem spending 1 cp only), or two 10 man units.

Anyway don't expect to deal much damage to Space Wolves with hormagaunts after Marines got Armour of Contempt, but hormagaunts are still great for playing the mission and for movement blocking.
