still looking through the leaked stuff to get some ideas on list builds. and i've noticed a weird phrase in the Leviathan psychic power, Hive Nexus.
based on the leak, this is the exact wording;
"Blessing: Hive Nexus has a warp charge value of 7, If manifested, select 1 friendly Leviathan unit within Synaptic Link range of this Psyker and select 1 Synaptic Imperative Ability of a friendly Leviathan Synapse model that is also within Synaptic link range of this psyker. Until the start of your next turn, that unit benefits from that synapse model's Synaptic Imperative ability as if it was active for your army (in addition to the one that is currently active for your army) and as if they were within 6" of one another."
the first bolded portion stats that the unit can benefit from the Synaptic Imperative of the Synapse model in addition to the one currently active, which mitigates 1 synaptic imperative per battle round limitation. then, not to be a super rule-lawyer, but that 2nd bolded portion "and as if they were within 6" of one another" seems to imply that both the unit and model benefits from it, since the synaptic imperative is an aura-like ability that benefits friendlies within 6".
Example. taking a Malaceptor's Psychic oversight and giving it to a Warrior squad within synaptic link range, then both the warrior and malaceptor benefits from the ability as the warriors are synapse, gets the synaptic imperative ability and the malaceptor acts as if within 6" of the warriors, so both can perform actions and shoot/cast psychic spells.
i'm thinking if this is the RAI, since if they did not need to include that last portion if they just wanted the 1st unit to get the benefit of the synaptic imperative.
might be a little cheesy, but thoughts?
