Synaptic Imperative,Toxin Sac, and Reaper Tyrant of Doom

Hey Hive,

I know the codex isn't quite out yet, but for those of you who have also been going over the leaks, I was wondering about how Warrior Synaptic Imperative stacks with Toxin Sacs on a Reaper of Obliterax Tyrant. If I roll a 6 to hit, does that cause an auto 2 wound (one from the regular hit, and one from the toxin sac hit), and in turn would that trigger 2 Mortal Wounds from the Reaper of Obliterax?

A Hive Tyrant, with the Reaper of Obliterax, Adrenal Glands, and Toxin Sacs will hit on 2+ re-rolling 1s, Strength 11, so likely wounding most on 2+, rerolling 1 wound for Prehensile Tail. Throw in D3 attacks with Adrenal surge, Potentially D3+3 MW on the charge with Trampling Charge, MW from Smite/Scream powers, and a potentially 23" move+charge turn one you have a murder machine. Not to mention to "Hit and Dip" stratagem of Encirle the Prey. Please tell me this is a thing we can do now....

So from the Core Book FAQ on page 7, "Scoring additional hits", it says that the only the original hit will trigger any abilities.  Any additional hits are not considered to made with any hit roll, so won't trigger abilities.  In your example, a 6 to hit will auto wound (causing a mortal wound from the successful wound) and then generate another hit that you still have roll a wound roll for.  If that wound is successful, then it would generate another mortal wound

Even so, this does look like a really strong combo for a tyrant. Would definitely try this out on the table
