If the leaks are true, you pay the same points to equip a unit of three and a unit of 9 warriors with adrenal glands, toxin sacs and flesh hooks. Same goes for tyrant guard's AG/TS, as well as spinemaws for rippers. Hormas and termas however are costed per model. Does this inconsistency make any sense at all? Am I missing something here?

The only thing I can think of is that they didn't want a huge discount for 30 gaunts with all the upgrades. However, as written you're 100% correct.
