Not that many of us were considering it, but does this new dictate in Chapter Approved mandating all units with a selectable <Subfaction> be from the same one mean no more Brood Brothers since their selectable <Regiment> tag changes to Brood Brothers and not your selected <Cult>?

Nah, I'm sure they caught that and everything will be cool since our codex just dropped...

I doubt that it disallows broodbrothers as it says you can do it in the codex. RAI is pretty clear there IMO

Please try to read the rule a tiny bit before running off to complain about it.

Each different <Keyword> must change into the same. So each <Cult> has to be the same cult and each <Regiment> has to be the same Regiment but you can freely mix <Cult> and <Regiment>.
No different from Dark Eldar still being allowed <Kabal> and <Coven>.

I did read the rule. Several times. As did the office's resident ork. We were still fuzzy which is why I asked for the collected wisdom of the broodmind here.

Thank you for your interpretation as that view clears up several questions we had about applicability in other armies.

Normally, you need to have a common keyword to be in the same army. Brood Brothers specifically calls out the ability to have one included, EVEN IF THERE ARE NO CONNECTING KEYWORDS. THE rest are irrelevant for this interaction.

The new rules primarily prevents in-faction souping, so that you don't have the ability to "cherry pick" the most efficient choices for all units.
