Ambush marker question

Hi guys! When you set up ambush markers for units in your army, are the units in ambush locked into appearing at a specific marker or is it fluid?

Yeah, you only decide what unit goes where when your switching the blips out for units. Tho obviously you should have somewhat of a plan of what you want where when you put the blips down

fluid, but make certain you plan far enough ahead so that you can actually PLACE the models on the board and accordance with the rules. For large unit and blips placed close together it can quickly become limiting. As mentioned, have a plan and envision what the units will look like deployed. The fluidity comes in responding to going first/second and your opponents deployment and first turn

A classic mistake for me at least is to underestimate the footprints of the vehicles. Ridgerunners in particular.

Yeah. For one the playstile is very fun.

Another thing is that the game mechanics for the most part reflect the fluff.

Thirdly is is very different then what other armies are doing.

Lastly, the fact that all datasheets for the moment are usefull is a fresh start.

Just cause I didn't see it posted earlier. It's important to note you select the unit that will set up first, then choose which marker they will use. It's fluid until you choose a model to place then you're locked in for that model until you set them up by a specific ambush marker.
So if you're playing a very strict opponent try and get in the habit of knowing who you want where before you select them when you start setting them up.
