Levi psychic secondaries list.

After getting a couple games under my belt, I keep running into the same problem of a third secondary. This list uses the new relic and the zoanthropes’ synaptic link to make psychic ritual or interrogation pretty easy to get off, even against psychic heavy opponents. The extra action bodies in the pyrovore and gargoyles can also help with RoD.

Can’t have 2 Adaptive Physiologies and 2 WL traits. ER is kinda wasted on min Wars. Also need to minus another CP for the second relic (which the 5+ CP is debatably worth 1 CP). Pyrovores seem really redundant in a list with so many bodies able to perform actions, pts prob better spent elsewhere.

Oops!! Total typo. I was modifying an earlier list with a big block of warriors and forgot to take ER out.

The issue with spending the pyrovore points elsewhere is that 28 points doesn’t get you much. At least now I have two easy RoD models on the board and two in reserve.

You've got 4 ROD units to use in T1; 2 dropping in from reserve; way too many bodies. You can cut the double pyro and bring bigger Warr units with LWBS.

Also, u have 4 Synaptic Links. One of the warriors needs to drop it.

I read somewhere you can take any number of links in list building but only use 3 per turn. Don’t have the book so can’t confirm.

You can have up to 1/2/3/4, depending on size of game. For 2k standard it's 3.

Edit: I double checked. You're actually right, it's any number to buy, use max of 3.

Also because most are sort of eh if you're not using them every turn: still possibly worth 15 pts for flexibility (which doesn't really help with many links)/redundancy...but only if you'd already be taking the unit, which for basically everything is 'no'.

Edit: To give an indication of what I mean, you could drop the prime (or a warrior squad if range doesn't work for ritual etc: their link's worth less in the list, but they're better on rate, so...), move everything to the neuro, drop a garg+both pyros and have almost 200 pts to play with. I can't think of anything that just jumps out and says 'take me' for 200 pts, but...I don't think that stuff is worth anything near 200 pts in your list.

4 Links seems like wasted points. Zoan Link will be going every turn, and I think the Prime link takes priority over both War links while the GS are around. I think the following changes would make the list more efficient for the points spent (leaves you at 1998 vice 1993):

= 2x3 War w/ 2xST -> 1x5 War w/ ST/LWBS
- 1 Pyrovore (plenty of action bodies)
+ 1 Zoan (harder to lose 2d3 smites, better with obsec)

ER would still be a worthwhile 1 CP to put on a unit, either on the HG or a larger warrior unit.

Reducing Pyros shouldn't hurt this list much. They shine for ROD when the list is concentrating on larger units and can't afford to keep those >6" away from other table quarters (even then only 1 Pyrovore works perfectly fine in my experience). Your Warrior units both have the ability to accomplish ROD easily T1, making one Pyrovore redundant for ROD. Even then, you have 12 other infantry units which can be maneuvered to get the 4th quarter. So you've got 56 points reserved for redundancy to combat you being essentially tabled, and at that point it is unlikely that one of the Pyrovores will be winning the game.

A trap? A unit that can kill anything with a reach of 30" is a trap? A unit that can hide out of LOS and area denial a massive part of the board?

Octarius stealers are not regular stealers. With the new buffs and strats, they delete just about anything they touch, outside of a knight. And even a knight they will brutalize pretty badly. We also can redeploy them, hide them, put them well out of range and still slingshot, etc.
