Vs Custodes

Alright, last tournament at my LGS was 5 custo out of 10 players, I am starting to lose my mind. How do I counter them? Maleceptor or Zoanthropes?

In my experience, Custodes REALLY hates mortal wounds. Of course, they sometimes have ways to counter this, but it works for me. So yeah, my go to would be zoanthropes. That and play the objectives without trying to wipe them out, I don't think we have the tools to do that (actually, i'm not even sure we have the tools currently to table anyone lol).

But I think that such topics would have its place more in the "Tactics" thread of this forum rather than here...

There might be a vs thread for custodes.

Generally, mortal wounds are good or weight of attacks with some AP (genestealers in max squads maybe). Exocrine and hive guard can also do well given their AP and range.

There is a Vs Custodes for 8th I think in Vs Threads.

But basically: overwhelm with cheap bodies will get it done. Their anti-infantry is good but not that strong, and some defensive buffs would throw them off. Especially those Dreadnoughts - Gaunts with 6++ 5+++ basically wins 2 turns and 4 combats of time.

I don't think we can realistically outmuscle them.
