Nid characters giving up Abhor the Witch and Assasinate?

Why should Nid characters give up so much VP? 

We have combat characters who for the most part can't be hidden, how could this be changed?

Do we need more synapse from non Character models?

I'd welcome your thoughts.

Is there a way to reduce or stop this VP loss from happening?

The only way to stop it is to not take a bunch of psyker characters. Limit yourself to 4. Make at least one a Neurothrope and protect it. If your opponent takes assassinate and Abhor the witch, and they only kill 3, then that means they're only getting 9 points for 2 of their secondaries. If you managed to score 12 with Engage and Octarius then you're coming out ahead.

On the contrary, Abhor the witch&Assassinate are blessings in disguise. Now you can play a defensive game, keeping your Hive Tyrants in reserve or out of LoS, while concentrating on Engage&RoD and winning the game.
