Returning Player Anything New for Nids?

I have been away from 40k in general since 7th edition. Anything new to Nids or are we still waiting on a new codex?

We have an 8E codex, like every other army. The 9E codex is not in sight, though. But we will get at least two new models (Lictor/Deathleaper, Red Terror), the first since spring 2014, lol.

Significant updates here. As well as changing Hierodules from Lord of Wars to Heavy Support options and reducing their points to below 300. And the Dima is Fast Attack for 255 pts and has much better rules. The Hierophant and Harridan are both playable as well.

Dimas are 100% worth taking in any list you think you're going to encounter a tough monster/vehicle of any sort, or as a truly deadly character hunter, as its attacks will be at str 8 ap-3 d3+3D, except his tail, which is str 7 ap-3 2d. it now starts with a 5++ and can move through units and terrain as if they weren't there, during a fall back, charge, normal move or advance. It also has a neat ability to force a model (before you consolidate) to beat strength 7 by adding their base str with a d6 roll, if they fail their unit suffers d6 mortal wounds, if you kill a unit by that ability, he gets a 5+ feel no pain for the rest of the game.

Mainly used because ignoring terrain is massive this edition, also him and swarmy are just south of 500 points and are a great brute force starter for any army and went up in points because they were 25(?) points cheaper than this and fielding two of them is actually scary for nid opponents to try to deal with.

Ya Harridan is 700 pts and hierophant is 850. They still have problems when deploying in certain deployment zones (if they can't fit then they skip a turn) but they can fit in an army.

Hierophant its huge and have heard about the issues on deployment.
But harridan's base is relatively small. We just have to make sure the wings don't stick out of the board edges right?

Yeah it depends on how you build it honestly. Some put it on a larger base to keep it from falling over so easily.
