Looking into 1k games and need list help.

So I recently joined the hive and I have about 500 points. So far I have the start collecting box and about 12x of each termagaunts and hormagaunts with a hive tyrant. I was looking at expanding to 1k points. I don't mind spending the money on the models I just dont want to waste money on models that I build then find out in a game that they were not a great idea. I have an idea of what I'm looking at. which is this hive tyrant, broodlord, and a Neurothrope as the HQ

HQ: Hive tyrant, broodlord, and neurothrope

Troops: Genestealers, hormagaunts, termagaunts

Elite: Hive guard and zoanthropes

HS: Exocrine

I can change it I have no problem. I seemed to prefer shooting over melee or a mix but I'm not tied to either. I can learn to magnetize the models so I can change the weapons. I can post the full list if its wanted but I was not sure how to post the full list unless just posting the text is fine.

Hive fleet kronos
Winged Tyrant with Resonance Barb Claws and Devourers Catalyst and Psychic Scream
Neuro with Symbiostorm
Gants+Gaunts+Rippers for troops (I use 30 gants and 1 ripper squad)
6 Hive Guard
2 Lictors if you still have the points
Exocrine

With such list you are mostly shooting, and in 1000 point games Hive Guard can shoot on basically the entire table, the Hive Tyrant can fly on basically the entire table, and that gives you the control of basically the entire table, just screen your Hive Guard, and use Single Minded Annihilation on Hive Guard, and Symbiostorm on Exocrine and you should be good, To The Last, and Octavius(if you got the lictors) are the best Secondaries for this, although many depends on the mission and the opponent
