Have always loved the Genestealer Slingshot concept and wanted to try to see if I can make it somewhat competitive. Open to suggestions and criticism.

Wow I really like what you have in this list - 2 Heirodules / 2 Exocrines / 5 Hive Guard / 48 Deathspitter shots provides a good range of threat saturation aside from the genestealers themselves to make it a valid and potentially surprising to play against - I think fhe deathspitters and SH sprays will serve well against both hordes and marines - especially Death Guard in that you’re not overly invested in D2 anti-infantry while still staying above S4 - you also have enough punch to deal with mechanized transport-based lists as well - the Heirodules should perform well against Raiders, and the fact that a substantial amount of your firepower can shoot into combat will help the fact that you may find yourself short on screening. I would sat that only taking 2 HQs is questionable but I think you get away with it given the synapse from the Warriors and the self-sufficiency of the units. Forgoing the Broodlord or Malanthrope is the right decision here I think.
I think something to keep in mind is when you may want to hold your slingshot back until turn 2 on some occasions, though they may be infrequent - something I think you can afford to do with the substantial threat saturation apart from them. Popping transports with aggressive heirodules - potentially forgoing their shooting for the Swarmlords ability depending on the situation (a tricky one there). Genestealers being a second wave of obsec to keep your opponent from holding central to objecitves for those vital tyrn 2 / 3 Primary points could be a potentially wise move if youd like them to survive after their initial strike.
The list is tight and simple and I’d say its ready for a test drive - curious though, whats your meta like? Is this for local or tournaments?

Also - any plan for secondaries? I think your list can play primaries well but w/o MSU units for actions or lictors, you do have fewer valid options - likely a kill-based secondary and EOAF, but the third could be tricky.

I mean, screening also helps with the whole 'not getting murdered by combat units' thing. The T8 and combat ability on the dules (plus overwatch) makes them less appealing for some cc units (but not all), and ignore -1/-2 on the warriors helps a lot where relevant, but the exos are pretty vulnerable if the pressure doesn't prevent charges.

Being able to shoot in combat also prevents being literally useless, but not nigh-useless: it doesn't matter if you can shoot the unit you're in combat with if you don't care about it and would rather shoot something else. The fact that exos can fall back and shoot does mean they're far less vulnerable to it, but everything else is to a greater or lesser degree.

(This isn't to say no screening can't work, but big guns doesn't invalidate the issues).

Yeah, scoring is I think where the list is going to fall down. You're relying 100% on pressure and a single stealer blob to interact at all on primary, so are very vulnerable to just losing pts in early/mid turns to obsec/random squads. And secondaries basically have to be kill, WWSWF (or grind) and engage. Which hard commits to a 'I'm going to kill you' line.

That and bad match ups that are happy killing T8 MCs with no invuls. Like AdMech, but I don't think we've got a good answer to AdMech. The problem is I think DE and sisters are both also pretty happy into this, and...yeah, for a comp list that's not good. Possibly also DA/Custodes, but I think those match ups could go either way.

20 GS just seems like such a high commitment to pure unit killing, that will ultimately not be rewarded appropriately. 12 GS can hit most things just as hard as 20 when you combine the 1/2" of 1/2" limitations and likely overkill from the unit of 20 GS. Just splitting the GS into two units of 12/8 models would probably improve board presence more than the loss of kill potential. I also think the lack of a BL w/ Barb (instead of it being on the Neuro) is a pretty sizeable loss in a list which includes GS. Could probably turn a Dule into a BL & more GS and be better off if only due to the fact that you will have much more redundancy in Obj/Action bodies and a much stronger Psychic Phase.

I agree with this and it was one of my big concerns about this list because I commit pretty hard to the expensive bugs and it doesn't leave much room for screen units. Would you recommend dropping a dule for the broodlord and some gants?

For secondaries I was thinking Raise the Banners, First Strike, and Engage on All Fronts.

First Strike is gone in GT 2021, but I still think it wouldn't be a great choice. If you go first, you'd probably need to kill 3 units as the GS and 1 T8 w/o ++ body will probably die (I don't think you can keep the GS back and reliably score this secondary). Going second makes it easier, but still may have to commit too hard too early to only guarantee 8VP.

Banners is not looking like a great pick for you either, the lack of cheaper infantry bodies makes any action oriented secondary difficult. Banners can be good for you on the missions which have 2+ objectives in/near you deployment, but that is less than half of the missions. On 6 Objective maps, you will probably only score at most 10 with the 2 Warrior squads raising a banner each and holding the objective. Unfortunately that puts you somewhat behind the curve for Banners even on the best missions for it.

Realistically, I don't see much wiggle room from what No One suggested if you're looking to plan to score 10+ on all three secondaries. Though I think Stranglehold is a stronger option for you than Engage depending on mission.

One option that will help the secondary game would be to split the Warriors into 3x5-man units. Might hurt the primary game a little though, but keeping ER on two of the three will let those units still be able to weather one turn of moderate hate. Arguments could certainly be made that the physiology would be better used on the Exo's/Dule's with this Warrior configuration, but I think either is a worthwhile option to explore.
