A little 1K list Kronos/Twisted Helix

I got into 40K a few months ago. I liked the Zerg in Starcraft, and have always loved Lovecraft's Work, so Nids and GSC seemed like a match made in heaven. That being said, I wanted to see if this list was any good, based on research? I'm not sure if this goes here or in Nid area.

Basic Plan is Neuro and Hive sit in the back with Terma screen plinking away at tanks, Flamers ride around on Truck, Aberrants are ferried with Primus to the front. Thoughts and criticisms?

Yes. Some thoughts.

You have a basic jist of it quite well. Tyranids are in a bit of a weard spot in 9th edition. Most units are not good. But somehow our shooting is what is really good. This is somehow a bit of false advertising, but hey, the hive mind adapts. Tyranids can certainly be really competitive. If you want to increase to. 2000 points try to get an exoshrine in there.

The GSC are in a very rough spot. I have played them all 9th edition and got my first winn with them last Saturday. Competetivaly they are not as bad as Tau or Thousand Sons but they are very low tier. The codex have few unit entries, and many of those entries as just plain bad. Many of the other entries also pale in comparison with Acolytes. I would change the aberrants into acolytes. It is not worth paying 30 points for an abberants when 2 acolytes are 22 (with hand flamers) and do a better job.

You can optimise further. But I am a strong believer in playing what you feel like, and will not make further suggestions. The problem is that doing what you feel like in a week codex mean you invest a lot of money and time for an subpar playing experience. Stick to acolytes.

A Broodlord instead of a Neurothrope could be better and more thematic. The 30pt increase is worth it for the melee potential, and comes w/ little loss to psychic consistency. Neuro is mostly used for the Kronos patrol HQ when the Barb is on a Broodlord or Tyrant in another detachment. Can trade out the Termagants for Rippers, will perform the same for less pts, and would only need to adjust the list 6 more pts to enact the change. Doesn't affect how the HG will work much, but gives additional flexibility for little cost.
