Can Nids compete with the nw Dark Eldar?

I haven't played my Nids against Dark Eldar yet but they look super oppressive. I know the competitive build is with the 2 Dimacharons (I don't own any at the moment, and who knows when Forgeworld will start selling them again), but I don't even know if the Dimacharons would be enough to take down a Raider, Wyche, incubi heavy list???  I am thinking maybe a 2-3 Exocrines, 2-3 squads of Hive Guard and a load of gaunts may be able to hang???  Not sure what the answer is but I'm sure Nids have some list that can at least make it an interesting game.

I think the Acidfex has some great potential against DE. Wounds everything on 3+ or better, auto-hits negate -1 to-hit for transports, just enough AP that the invuls do nothing, and it should take up multiple charges to avoid overwatch and bloody it. Should certainly force some tough choices on the DE player, I doubt many will race full transports into range of 4d6 hits @ S7.

I played twice against a somewhat optimised DE list. I went the horde route spamming 200 bodies in the table and pulled a tight win both times. Devogaunts are nice and cheap nowadays.

Playing horde list (for me anyway) is feels almost like I'm playing a solo game. I really don't enormously care what the enemy does, I just make my saves and rush to the objectives. It's a little too passive game for me to enjoy. Can't get my killing kicks.

Imagine what it was like before devilgaunts got cheap. Termagants are significantly less lethal.
