Special Request - ForgeWorld Winged Hive Tyrant Instructions

Hi Hive Addicts- so I am just getting back into the game after a 5 year hiatus...

Firstly - what happened to our poor hive mind?  We seem to have some of the weakest close combat stats and intercessors can carve up our Hive Tyrants and Carnifexes in hand to hand now.  WTH GW?!?  I have been playing since 1995 and this just sucks.

Definitely looks like Tyranids are not a favorite of the companies with the way our genestealers have been neutered from close combat masters to what they are now....

So here is my special request.  I have a FW Winged Hive Tyrant model that has been stored for a few years.  Alas I cannot find the instructions.  Yes.. I know its probably easy to put together but I am OCD when it comes to keeping my collection complete.

Does anyone have a PDF copy or can scan or take photos of their Instructions for me?

Welcome to the hive! Nids are currently suffering from codex creep. We got an early 8e codex but GW is slowly reworking 9e codexes into much more powerful and thematic codexes. The issue is that the release schedule has slowed significantly leaving certain armies in a worse off state (poor GSC).

From my experience: if you write to GW saying you lost the assembly sheet for models still on sprues, they're quite happy to send the instructions to you! Got splendid assistance from them for 3-4 models still on sprues for a 2nd hand army I bought

Unfortunately they dont do that for ForgeWorld Models.. and I think this guy is 10 years out of production?

You probably aren't missing much by not having the instructions. I have never found FW to have helpful instructions.

The meta has shifted away from genestealers to Dimachaerons and devgaunts are decent again. With the game now a chess match of who can trade units more efficiently while holding objectives it is less about killing and more about out maneuvering. Though killing more of your opponent always helps.

Are you sure there ever was instructions for the FW Tyrant? Can't seem to find anything searching for it on google.

Im positive there were.. I had them at one point.  I think the combination of it being such an old and out of print model means that noone took scans of it when it was available and most people have tossed the instructions years ago unless you are like me and like to collect 40K stuff.  Shoot I still have the original Rogue Trader Rulebook and Compendium.

Ok, yeah might simply be that old that there are no scans of it. I got mine secondhand just a few years ago, so sadly no instructions here😑 Guess you could contact FW support and ask if they might still have it.

As a newbie I'm curious to know if the model has 4 arms and wings. Good luck getting your instructions.

I don't recall any instruction sheet, but that model has so few parts its very easy to figure where each bit goes. Dry fit before glueing as always to check. If you need any further help, just holla to the Hive here.
