Deciding between two different 1000 point army lists

I have a friendly round robin coming up with some friends. I'm deciding between two different. Leviathan army lists with different strategies. Armies I know I'll be facing include, Necrons, Custodes, Orks and craftworld Eldar.

List 1 (swarm focused and objectives)

Tervigon (adaptive physiology WL trait, catalyst, resance barb, dermic symbosis)

3 x 30 termagaunts (13 devourers and 17 fleshborers each)

5 hive guard
1 Lictor

List 2 (damage focused and durability)

Walking Hive tyrant (barbed strangler, rending claws, xenogenic acid, catalyst, onslaught)

Neurothrope (psychic scream)

3 warriors (double scythes)
24 devourer gaunts
3 rippers

5 hiveguard (enhanced resistance).
5 zoanthropes (the horror)

The first list would have a rough time keeping units in synapse, but it has some well-rounded offense. I would suggest Jorm for the fleet, so the Terv can give re-roll 1's and ignore cover to the gants.

The second list's Tyrant would need toxin sacs to use Xenogenic acid. Would get more MW's out of Tyrant w/ Barb as relic and swapping Psychic Scream to it. Strangle is the worst gun, 2x Devs or VC will serve you better (depends on if you keep the tyrant back or charge it forward).

Second is probably stronger, HG + Zoans are great. Rippers are pretty poor for incursion in my experience. A third infantry troop for midfield objectives/secondary actions might serve you better.

Don't even need to change anything: just the fact you get to cast an extra smite and you're doing better than xenogenix. It's a meh relic, barb is actually really good.
