2k Competitive Kronos/Kraken

Good morning swarm,

I thoghed of a new list to play around with. My meta by default is pretty cutthroat (if you dont ask for a beer and bretzel game) and i wanted to upgrade my list. The idea is pretty easy, Kronos shoots them, Warriors dont die and the rest is getting slingshot in their face. I always liked big meele bugs and now dimas are actually nice so I'd like to try them. Any ideas to improve the list?

I don't like the adaptions being spent on the melee warriors. I'd prefer to see them used on either the Dima's or the Exo's. They're far more valuable. Aside from that, I like where you're going with the list.

You could just go with what the Art of War guys are using. It runs the same as this list but they have a lot of time to refine it. So profit off their work.

dimas don’t need adapts, but it’s nice. I’ve found exos don’t need them when you have dimas on the table. I think warriors are the right play, primaries wins games and durable cheap obsec is great for that.

I’d make the 15 terms into 10 and possibly drop a couple more from the 22 man to squeeze in 2x3 rippers in kronos patrol for easier linebreaker/engage. I’ve found 10 man horms to be great for turn 1 deploy scramblers in midfield (8” move and 25mm bases so you can deploy 2 ranks on the edge and still make just a normal move to be 6” outside of deployment) so if you find 10 pts you could upgrade one term unit to horms. You can still achieve the same thing with metabolic overdrive but I think 10 pts is cheaper than 1 CP

The list from the Art of War guys is certainly intresting but i think my local club has way too poor of terrain to play it with hormas. i used to play genestealers and we have pretty much no terrain that would hide 20 of those ao they would just get shot of. With warriors i have have half a chance of surviving into turn 3. Plus i think they are a bit easier to pilot and im not that experienced. i mostly paint stuff. Tho the tyrant with barb looks joicy for onlaught

IMHO Double Exocrine is unnecessary since only 1 can actually receive Symbiostorm, drop 1 Exocrine and take a Flyrant or more obsec bodies. 2 Warrior squads are also unnecessary because that's too much synapse generation and not enough synapse receivers.

Warriors aren't taken for synapse, just for being efficient wound blocks, especially with enhanced resistance. Exo doesn't need symbio to function, but with the strat competition for not moving and pathogenic, the 2nd is a bit eh yeah.
