A bit tongue in cheek title no doubt, but Colin Sherman(?) has been on a roll apparently. John Lennons version won a couple of matches against Nick Nanavati's Eldar and Deathguard, you've seen a video here recently.

Yeah I like John's list. What is Colin using?

I was skeptical of the Flyrant when I saw it in the list. But giving it Resonance Barb makes him a really decent mortal wound platform. And Murderous Size makes his damage d3 rending claws a bit more reliable. Typically, a Neurothrope would be in that HQ slot for the Kraken Battalion but it adds hardly any value for it's 95 pts. A Flyrant though is a little over 100 pts extra but does way more than a Neurothrope could.

I really dont like forgeworld stuff for the most part, but at least this shows that all Tyranids need to become relevant is a solid melee monstrous creature option. If only that monster was the Hauruspex or Toxicrene...

From what I can tell, only difference is Colin have 'Dynamic Camoflague' on the Hive Guards and Paroxysm on the Swarmlord instead of a second Onslaught.

John had paroxysm on swarmlord too for the second game against death guard so maybe a typo.

i think against the death guard he had enhanced camo on the hive guard and paraxysm on swarmlord with monsterous size on flyrant.

Yeah, feels like competitively Nids are carried almost entire by Dimachaerons

Only if the dimas survive past turn two. If they are still alive that's pretty much game. Also the eat eldar and harlequins like they are nothing

Are harlequins particularly difficult to kill? Or are dimas just fast enough to catch them?
Other than that i am not really familiar with the eldar meta right now.

the dimas don’t care about harleys’ defensive buffs of reduced range and -1 to hit on ranged weapons, and it’s easy to proc mortals which bypasses their invuln in addition to being fast and just like harleys they ignore terrain so they can’t really hide the same way

Can we not just shoot clown cars down? Most nid lists run some combination of exocrines and hiveguards.

probably not all of them, but you can screen them out of shooting something important and then counter charge with double moving dimas

Even one Dimachaeron adds a lot of interesting mobility and offensive ability in most games. I had a Dimachaeron kill Magnus in my local meta and the guy told me I was the first to do so in any game of 9th against him. Stonecrushers are really good with Murderous Size for only 125 pts doing a flat 6 damage to vehicles.
