Kia ora Hive! I've just had some succes with this list below. Still think it could use some tweaking. The 2nd exocrine uses reserves so less need for the 5++. Mainly thinking the Walkrant and Patriarch could be dropped for more zoeys and a Magos/primus. As it is currently, I give up a lot of points to assassinate and abhor, although if I loose all characters then I have already lost the game. I like the staying power of the tyrant and the patriarchs combat ability as I don't have counter charge outside solo broodlord. so the hive tyrant has toxic sacs but not adrenal sacs, and while the toxic sacs are nice, failing a charge could be critical and so i would suggest swapping them.
also, the broodlord, i assume, will be pushing much further forward and not stay near the exocrines as he is a strong counter charger, wouldn't it be better if he had the psychic scream and the Neurothrope had psysic storm as the neurothrope is quite happy being much further back due to he just needs to get into smite range to be able to perform his main function. also, when the broodlord dies as it charged something and then died as the response. you only lose scream, which is sad but not as crippling as losing storm?

If you want more counter-charge, take another broodlord. The acos are also odd: I don't think hand flamers at 3 pts are worth taking acos *purely* for them. And without saws/offensive buffs, their melee prowess is merely OK. I'd say take some saws in there, give patty crouchling and grab might (taking magus instead is also an option). You'll also want another disposable unit for your last scramble: you'll probably be able to do mid with the gaunts, but sramblers isn't a secondary you want to bank on a 'probably'.

Toxin sacs are more important than adrenal in my book. Against high toughness models the extra dmg is gold. The tyrant is a road block and counter assault unit. The Cannon was awesome in my last game, being able to d3 auto hit and wound ok 2s in combat is pretty nasty against characters.. I'm not completely sold on it either, I originally had it as a flyrant but then realized I'm using it defensively so wings don't really matter. I could drop a hiveguard and swap patriarch for magus to upgrade tyrant to swarmy which would give better combat and some funky move twice for my gun beasts.
The broodlord hangs around mid field (i don't have much forward pressure) and I was trying it out with resonance barb as it gets 2 casts with it instead of one. I usually have it on my Neurothrope like you said but I wanted to play the thrope forward to buff zoeys.
The list has loads of high ap and dmg shots but had no horde clear, thats what flamers are for. Even without the saws they can do some damage against t3 and t4, 1cp for extra hits on 5+ vs imperium. They also only need 2cp to deepstrike in 3" rather than 4cp investment for the saws to guarantee charge.

being able to d3 auto hit and wound ok 2s in combat is pretty nasty against characters Miasma is blast... I dunno: if you just need horde clear, devilgants at 7 pts are quite solid and don't need you to invest into a GSC det to access.

Thanks No one. I missed that! Forgot I had to check the big rule book for some weapons stats :/ that makes the tyrant even worse. With blast in mind, do you recommend 5 man units of hiveguard?
The acolytes are easier to get into range than the Termagants, have melee potential and I think for 4pts difference, the extra 2 attacks, ap, Armour save, and more reliable damage with flamers puts them above devilgants. Maybe there is a way to make them work if i drop the tyrant. Not sure on the magus or patriarch, I can drop 3 acolytes to interchange them. Next ill try something like this:
