New player needs 500 Point army

Hello and thanks for viewing!

I'm new to Warhammer 40k and after a few years of window shopping, reading lore and playing the video games i decided to dive in to the tabletop game!

I purchased the new Battleforce Brood Swarm box
2 boxes of termagants
1 broodlord
1 box of genestealers

My Questions are: How should i make the box up? Winged Hive Tyrant or Swarmlord? tyrant guard or hive guard? Haruspex or Exocrine?
so far i figure Hive tyrant, Hive Guard and Exocrine are the way to go?

What's the best 500 point army i can make out of this mismash?

I'll be going up against an opponent who purchased the blood angel combat patrol box

TLDR!: Give me 500 point tyranid list to beat blood angels plz

As someone who's been into 40k since my freshman year of highschool...I don't know. Only played the vidya games (DoW) and some Tabletop Simulator on Steam back in 8th. I'm planning on starting a Tyranid army soon myself so we're both new players. Hopefully we can both learn from this. ^^

Though im not 100%sure what models you have sonce im not sure whats in the bundle box, ill give ot a go below.

At 500 points you are goimg to be looking at skew lists and this makes the game feel almost like rock paper scissors.

If you take the swarmlord and want to go t1 killy melee then i think you have enough genestealer models to do a sling list which could be devistating.
-depends on getting t1
-will likely only be the 2 units
-stealers will likely be wiped the next enemy turn

You could also go for a walking tyrant with guns and an exocrene and screening gaunts. Very much the opposite of above but still basicly 2 units.
-good range w/valume of fire and descent damage
-wont do well if the enemy has a gunline too since they will likely have better guns.
-if the enemy goes melee then try to target the threats that could reasonably kill the monsters.

If you have any warrior models then the optinons expand significantly since the warrior prime hqs are much cheaper then a tyrant which would allow lists like:
Tyranid prime, hive guard, gant/gaunt units(bog or small), and probly still some left over room for an exocrine. Not sure on the last piece though. But basicly allows you to take more units and play a mini swarm a 500pts that coulde reasonably out score your opponent while keeping them busy eating a unit of gaunts. A neurothrope model would open up similar options.

If you have a broodlord then you could do something similar to apove aswell but with more points infested int the broodlord you would need to go for a more surgical approach useing the gaunts to intercept the front lines do some damage and allow the broodlord to basicly pick the fights he wants to be in and avoid the ones he doesn't.

Sorry i droned on there and im not sure how helpful that was but if you could post and exact list of what models you have access to ill try again with more specific detail.

I know it's a small thing <literally>, and maybe you've done it, but in 2 termagant boxes you technically are given 2 ripper bases, so not enough to make a unit <3 minimum>, but you can buy a ripper sized base at lgs, and split rippers from the box into 3 groups, that way you can have a unit

They also come with genestealers plus what ever was in the collection box likely has some too.
What is, 3 per decorated base 4 for an empty one?
