So I know everyone’s been on the Nidzilla train, and I’m no different been playing this one for a little bit so far so good. Was worried about dealing with a Knight Tyrant but ended up winning that game pretty easy. Haven’t tried against hoards though but if I had to guess they’d probably be a hard match up.

Trygon needs to be same hive fleet as devilgants if you want to set them up together. 290 pts and physiology for that looks like a waste. Take a scythed hierodule instead. Or 1-2 mawlocs and/or gaunts, zoans or possibly warriors are an option too.

Na the Trygon by itself as a cheap deepstrike threat like a psuedo dimachaeron. The gants begin on the board dev gaunts hang back deploy scramblers in deployment zone, the other two shoot nearest objective to the unit and get ready to deploy scramblers six inches away, lictor finishes it in their deployment.

It needs an 8" charge, an adapt to do consistent damage, and is fairly squishy with only 8" move off drop. It's not cheap: another dima, scythed, possibly flyrants, or just more troops to shore up your objectives. Also, just save yourself 60 pts and don't bother with the devourers: a 10 man squad is just as able to deploy scramblers, I really don't know why you're spending extra on that game plan.

You want the lictor in Kronos for deepest shadows. Swapping one of the rippers seems almost like a good idea, but synapse might be an issue (I don't think so with 9th morale and only 10 man, but a consideration).

Also, dermic on the exos: our adapts are good, unless you don't have anything worth taking them (you do) you spend the CP. And if you drop the trygon to not require size, you can dermic them both.

the devourers are just what I have I’ve got 20 painted fleshbs and 20 devourers BR in total, but your right with the lictor I didn’t even think about that.

And I tried dermis on the exos but with the dimachaerons everyone quit paying attention to them my last game one took 1 wound the whole game

Ah, fair if you don't have the models. I definitely prefer it, though I don't think the benefit from the relic AG is worth the CP: take cham instead, I think it's one of the few relics we have that's worth it.

Also think you want a more impactful power than scream on your barb flyrant: my immediate would be cat, but then the easier one to kill and the more important one to kill also has your most important power, so...Not sure. Swapping so that the barb flyrant has onslaught is probably worth, since with Kraken dimas and no Swarmlord, you really don't want to fail the onslaught.

Looks better but keep the swarmlord instead of 2x tyrants (1 with resonance barb is fine though, solid T7-8 target saturation), the sling gives so much value to dimas. I think dermic on exos is still good to prevent degrading BS, if you want you could give dimas accelerated digestion to give them more staying power if your exos are left alone anyway in your local meta. You can always reserve an exocrine as well depending on mission, match up and deployment.

An alternate take is to give tyrant 4x devs (or 2+MRC) for horde clear and skirt around at 18” with his 3 casts at +1, frees up adaptives for both dimas or exos. Also means you can drop those devs in termagant units that are really hard to justify. Do you have any hormagaunts? 2x10 terms + 10 hormas would be better imo. Hormas can usually advance onto midfield objective, score engage, metabolic overdrive to moveblock etc, especially as kraken. Otherwise just proxy the devilgants as fleshborers, non tyranid players can’t tell the difference usually.

No sadly when I started my army I went hard into genestealers at the end of 8th before the nerf and never got hormagaunts, but so far in my local shop I’ve only ever lost to necrons in the 6 months I’ve been playing the army. It’s not a very competitive meta. Like the first list ended the game in two turns both times I played it.
