Clear it, Take it, Hold it (Objectives)

Let's start by saying I love 9th. No more winning for leafblowing your opponent and a ton of less feel basies/gotcha moments. That being said I feel there are 3 main roles that have me curious.. What do we have that excels at them? They are:

1. Clear it. The most oldschool units where making death is only importance. Most armies have an abundance, and an example from each would be: 20 Acolytes+ Saws or Exocrine. They remove stuff. Easy.

2. Take it. This role is pretty commonplace as well and many roles here overlap. Get onto the objective by pushing others off. Melee seems to shine here but Bikes/cav works well too.

Hold it. This is where I lose traction. We have Zoans.. Even they are pretty trivial at T4 and I expect the 3-4++ codex time. What else?

What other roles did I miss? Do these make sense? Are there others?

I would say another role is secondary specialist. Things like lictors for deploy scramblers or extra infantry for raise the banner.

You also have a support role whose job is really just to buff other units. This goes to things like venomthropes, malanthropes, primes, and arguably neurothropes.

You could argue that there's a role for "disrupt it", where the unit is simply there to mess with your opponent in some way. Think a sniper sanctus taking out characters or a unit that blocks deep strikes.

I like. So what units do we have that fit each role? How do they differ? What oberlaps?

Clear it is easy - every guy on this forum can give you Clear Its easily since its all number churning.

Take it - SL + Obsec, or Obsec + MO is the main offender. Neophytes with LiW is also pretty good with Flamers and Seismics doing stuff on the pop up. Any charging obsec is the same too, so Acolytes and Genestealers. Any fast moving clearer that clears objectives works too.

Hold it - Zoeys, Warriors, 60 Gaunts, Abbys. Anything Fearless with cheap wounds.
