First time kronos list help.

Just starting to get into 40k.  I'm looking for advice on my list composition and tactics if you hive-minds would be so kind.  For the ranged focused lists am I supposed to be turtling or advancing with the boys?  I do like the big gun and firing twice with them but I'm still struggling with figuring out positioning so I don't run the infantry into a meat grinder.  Thanks in advance

Two easy fixes: you've got two patrols (actually worse than that, you've got 2 battalions), when if you drop a neuro, you could fit everything into single battalion. Also, symbiostorm: incredibly good power with hive guard and exos. If you're running Kronos, you should have that, otherwise pretty much take something more mobile.

You can turtle, as long as it's not your entire army: objectives are important, they're how you win. You need to interact with them, killing your opponent won't win you anything.

Thank for the help. Sorry for the noobscrub question but what is the benefit to running one battalion vs two?  Another noob question (on no im so embarrassed) how do you reply to a user comment vs replying to original op?

Basically, detachments cost CP: the patrol/battalion with your WL is free, but everything else costs, generally 3 CP (patrol is 2, aux support is 1).
