Kronos Carnifex Build 9th - Crusade

I am running a Kronos list in a Crusade and I need to add some more meat.

Just for background my group are using pts instead of PL to stop people abusing wargear.

I am limited by the models I have (no exocrines available unfortunately) so I'm planning to add a fex or two.

My previous go to build was Acid Maw, Spore Cysts, Adrenl Glands, Bone Mace and 2 x twin Devourer.

Unfortunately this little beaut is now 150 pts. Which Im thinking is a bit too rich.

What else are people running? Or should I drop the mace and the adrenal glands and maybe the spores to save points.

Can you convince your friends to let you proxy a HVC carnifex for an exo? It’s narrative play after all. Like you said, fexes are points intense and don’t really benefit from kronos at all since they usually need to move.

I'm trying to avoid it, so far no one else is running proxies and I dont want to be seen as trying to power game.

My other options are another tyrant, a couple of squads of termagants, 3 Biovores or start up a side kraken detachment and get some stealers.

You could run a tyrannofex

Already running one and he is doing very well already.

Fexes are just too costly when done right. Going to ditch the idea and get some stealers insteade and start a Kraken side detachment. Not great synergy for now but can bolt on some hq later
