After making 5 games I decided to make a small assessment of how the list I used worked.
The list consists of:
Leviathan batallion with,
Malanthrope
Neurothrope, the horror
Prime, deathspitter, scything talons
5x10 termagants
Warriors, 6 deathspitters+boneswords/lash whips and 3 venom cannons+scything talons
6xZoanthropes, catalyst
Lictor
Kronos batallion with,
Neurothrope, resonance barb, symbiostorm, catalyst
3x 3 ripper swarms
6xHive Guards, impaler cannons
2xExocrine with dermic symbiosis
As you can easily understand, the tactics inherent in this list, try to quickly reach the primary objectives with the termagants, hold the center of the table with the zoanthropes and warriors and control the objectives on the side of my opponent's table with lines of fire in order to let exocrines and hive guards do their magic. The swarms and lictor are there to help in the secondary, namely, scramblers and engage in all fronts.
Secondary objectives are one of the problems. if I can easily maximize scramblers and engage on all fronts, the third has been a fiasco. I tested the psychic ritual in the first 4 games, but it didn't go well.
The five games I played so far were against,
Tau with,
2x Commanders, 2 Devilfish with breachers, 1 unit of Crisis, 10xKroots, 20+Drones, 2x3 Stealth suits and 2xRiptides.
Chaos Space Marines with,
Lord with sheningans and lot of attacks, Lord Discordant, Sorcerer, 6x10 Cultists, 2xHellbrutes with Lascannons, 5xRaptors, 3xObliterators, 3xVenomcrawlers.
Raven Guard with,
2xSmash Captain, Chapter Master,
3x5 Infiltrators, 2x5 Scouts, 6xAgressors, 5xAssault Centurions, Invictor, Relic Contemptor, 3 Eliminators, Thunderfire Cannon.
Ad-Mech with,
Maniplus, Dominus, 3x10 Vanguards, 3xBreachers, 5xSydonian Dragoons, 2x3 Castelan Robots and Dune Crawler.
Astra Militarum. With lots of Guards and Tanks.
If in the first 3 games the difficulties were less, due to the mistakes of my opponents and because they were the first with the new edition, the last 2, things have been more complicated, namely against guard, because I have no firepower to deal with all the cans and bodies to compete face to face with the numbers of guards.
I won all 5 games, although the last against guard was very balanced until the last round where I managed to destroy a leman russ who was on top of an objective, which gave me a marginal victory.
In general, the army worked well, with the exception of not being able to take advantage of the psychic ritual and having difficulties against lot of vehicles.
I emphasize that I went first in all games, in 3 because I won the role, in 2 because my opponents wanted it so.
What do you think where i can improve?
Which secondary can I choose instead of psychic ritual?
The meta in my area is mostly Marines. I'm thinking of exchanging the warriors for 6 biovores (because limiting the opponents move, its good) and 10x Gargoyles in order to be able to score the engage on all fronts right on the first turn. What do you think?
Thanks my friends.
