hey everyone long time lurker first time poster. Thought I would share my list idea for a 1250 point tournament I have coming up in 3 weeks, my local meta is mostly space marines and tau with a dash of chaos so hoping they try and list build around eachother

So... the list looks decent. Not sure how competitve it is but it would help if you could talk about your game plan abit.

Hey mate sorry first time trying to do this.

My current goal is to have the gants push forward and grab objectives with either them holding them or taking the brunt of fire and diverting attention from my more killy bugs. the Nuro and zonethrope will be behidn them providing catalyst if required otherwise being smite support to anything that tries to come up to the gaunts.

Warriors are to psuh up to middle and hopefully find a building i can stash them into for the bonus cover while using them for cover fire and to murder anything that tries and pushes up.

the tyrant and Haruspex are my hope to be the big killers and i am planning to move the tyrant up and shoot at anything big(blast weapon clear / clean up squads from the others shooting. my goal/hope with the Haruspex is similar to the tyrant but also expecting him to get focused so 50/50 with him being a diversion and if they ignore him hopefully killing a squad or 2 along with a vehicle.


my overall goal is to claim middle of the table and beat the opponent with objectives, rippers will be there to hold my back objective and maby DS one in the back to claim a objective if i can clear enough space.

Sorry if its not very clear im stilly pretty new and am open to tweaking / changing the list if its just not gona work but thought i would give it a go and see what people thought about it.

Would it impact your game plan too much to drop a ripper or term squad and try to get the zoans to 4 or 5? The extra d3 for smite and staying power would be nice

my whole plan with the 2 large groups was to distract and bloat the middle with bodies,  i drop my second squad of 30 and change the warriors to scything talons for 6x zoan and a 3rd squad of rippers. I also have a idea for a tweaked list which is below

more of a broad list focused around what are the best nid models, would be using the warriors the same as a front row unit with the zoans backing them up and the hiveguard / exo at the back smashing the priority targets and the tyrant being a focused tank buster / heavy unit slayer.
