9th ed objective denial

Here is the bones of a 2k list I'd like to try out. The points aren't exact as i don't have them in front of me.

Kraken battalion

Swarmlord
Broodlord

6x 10x termagants

2x acidfex

Kronos patrol

Prime
Neuro

5x warrior lw/bs and scytals
9x warrior 6xDS 3xVC melee weapons depending on points

6x hiveguard


The main idea is to keep throwing gants at objectives and deny primary points through hive commander, MO and OA. The tyrannofex and SL to follow up as necessary.

The big squad of warriors is there to hold one objective the smaller squad is there as a screen for the HG.

I could do with more gants to make it really work but i want to have at least some teeth.

What do you guys think?

Hi garg. I'm not sure that 60 gants is going to be enough to deny primary points. You have enough warriors to hold the center, but I'm not sure it is enough. The biggest issue with this list is I think it's severely lacking in antitank, and if those hive guard are killed by a flier or other artillery, you're in trouble.

Board control is definitely an interesting idea, but I think you'd need more bodies for that to really work.
It's always worth a test though, especially in a new edition.
