500p Combat Patrol list for 9th ed. ft. Tervigon

Ok so hear me out. The reason the Tervigon is trash is that, in any normal-size-game, it is trivial for the opponent to ignore both the mommy and her brood, as well as to delete either of them from 100 to 0 in a single turn. However, in a small game size, it is actually pretty difficult to delete a gaunt unit just like that, and it is also much harder to deal a lot of damage to a tank-profile unit at once. This leaves a 500p combat patrol game as the one space where the tervigon can potentially shine.

Patrol detachment of Leviathan, with:

HQ: Tervigon (Scytals) for 210p, with the Dermic Symbiosis adaptation (for 1 cp) and the Adaptive Biology warlord trait. Probably with Resonance Barb as the relic.

Troops:

Unit of 13/15 Terma-/Devilgants for 200p

Unit of 3 Warriors with swords and deathspitters for 90p

Instead of Leviathan, alternatively one could take a custom hivefleet with "all units regain 1 wound each turn" and "all gants and gaunts get a 6++", but I think Leviathan might still be better. Just make copious use of the "regain d3 wounds" strat.

Not sure about the people you play with, but I don't think combat patrol games are going to be a thing, especially on the recommended board size. You can break the game so many ways, it's not even funny. It's like playing Kill Team Commanders with three times the amount of models.

I am pretty sure 500 will turn out to be rock/paper/scissors. Hard counters everywhere, lol. Most obvious one for this (and many other lists) would be a SM captain with 20 Intercessors in tow.
