Dakkafex Clarification

I have been reading a few articles on Dakkafexes and am puzzled by the deacription I have read in multiple places. They are mentioned to have 24 strength 6 shots. The only source of str 6 shots I see is the devourer. The way I read the data sheet, for each pair of scything talons I replace I can put in a single devourer which would only give me 12 shots. Please explain (slowly) to an admited newbbie how I am misreading this.

After reading the sheet a zillion times, I see in black & white that a pair of scything talons is replaced by a pair of devourers.

No worries, note that you need to keep an eye on the age of some articles. The "Dakka fex" is quite old now as a concept and has been a fairly sold and popular choice for a long time. So the stats for it will have changed as the game changes.

First part - wargear options:

• Any model may replace both of its pairs of monstrous scything talons with two items from the Monstrous
Bio-cannons list.

Second part - list entry:

• Two devourers with brainleech worms (this is a single entry)

How many devourers with brainleech worms do you end up with?
