New 9th edition modifyers cap

With 9th edition modifyers having a cap of +1\-1 doesn't this completely ruin the scything talon buffs we were given. Especially on genestealers and hormagaunts. Just seems counter intuative especially with BoB being written "with 9th edition in mind." I understand the need to nerf certain units like eldar flyers but now units that didnt need nerfs are going to be useless until their 9th edition codexs come out

I believe they were taking about capping +/- to hit modifiers. Granted, we really don't have much information about 9e yet.

all we can do is hope that the Tyranids and GSC get some good out of 9th ed

they are talking about roll modifiers. not AP.

I am assuming heavy loses the -1 on moving or else you might as well just always move shooting at something -1. I could see -1 from each player working.

-1is useless anyways with rerolls negating it now anyways in 8th.

I'm going they are tone down rerolling maybe that you have to pay for it each turn in the command phase.
I'm​ certain the TTT guys know how strong all the rerolls are so i hope them and the other play testers make it clear to GW.

+1 is better than rr1, though.

That's true but then +1 to hit/wound tends not to be army wide but on one enemy or one friendly unit whereas RR is often global.

Even if they are it still ruins old one eyes carnifex buff.
