Ag on gants is a waste of points.

Im not sold on the gorgon fleet either, isnt that the poison related one? Maube consider leviathan here since fnp...

Spine fists: i see what your thoughts are here, deathspitters are better but for the concept you are goi g maybe spine fists could be useful, again, not sold.

The stealer detatchment could really benefit from a swarmlord.

rr 1s is a pretty underwhelming buff for when you wound poorly: it's not full rerolls. Also warriors have D1 weapons, they don't want to go after high T things, and can handle infantry fine with weight of attacks.

You're better off with a trait to let you get there, either through increased durability (Jorm, Levi) or mobility (Kraken, Behemoth: Behemoth also has a +1 wound power).

Yeah I had 30 extra points and didn't know where to throw them, so I thought that maybe the AG would let them move forward and help lock down forward or middling positions.
Maybe I'd be better just straight replacing the 30x Termagants with AG with 30x Hormagants? If I'm going for a melee army, then they just kind of fit the bill better, right?

Horms are just better than terms with AG. Move 2" further on advance or charge, move 2" better not, get 6" pile in/consolidate, and also better cc.

Or alternatively, take a good gun (deathspitters) instead of spinefists...Or AG if you insist on having them be dedicated melee focus (warriors are good generalists, not good dedicated cc).

Yes! You're definitely right... I just can't seem to fit it in for a 1500 pt list. Maybe if it was 2000 points I could sneak one in?

Cut 2nd ripper (you've got 3 troops) and as many stealers/terms/warriors as you need to swap the tyrant to Swarmlord. It's 80 pts that'll make a massive difference.

It depends. The thing with Swarmlord slingshot is...you don't always want to just full tilt your entire army up the board (sometimes it's a good idea though, of course). Hang back with the squads that don't need to be up, and just send in the squads that do: this might mean keeping the horm squad back (it's not doing much in the same combat as stealers, neither chilling midfield if the warriors have that job), or a stealer squad for a 2nd wave etc.

Alternatively, warriors make chunky objective holders: that's more a midfield job, but they can do it backfield in a pinch. Or, you have 2 primes (only need 1 for buffs, and you don't even need the actual buff), a ripper squad still, or the neuro can still chuck cat up from backline.

Similarly, cat on neuro: it's the most important power (rr 1s and Character protection), and it's the most range friendly for something that wants to be backline. Onslaught on Swarmlord's a nice power as well, chuck it on himself or the horms for a double move+advance. Also, Swarmlord has a set WLT that's not very good: take an adaptation (Blood of Baal instead of WLT) on the warriors instead and make the neuro the WL to protect it.
