Hey guys, i am new to Tyranids and have nearly bought a complete army, only a few models to go... was hoping for some feedback on 3 lists i am looking at. They are somewhat similar (have noted the main differences in bold/underline) as these are the models i have bought, just need the right mix. Any feedback on the appropriate list is welcome, thank you.

3rd list: Swarmlord's pretty important for stealers. If you've got the models, I'd recommend dropping the flyrant (or maybe mal) for a neuro, 6th hive guard and some termagants instead of a ripper swarm. Gives you Character protected Symbiostorm, 6th hive guard and an actual screen.
Other comments more generally. Not sold on custom fleet: I'd change to either Kraken (mobility) or Behemoth (output). You shouldn't be charging anything with overwatch nasty enough for senses to make more than a marginal impact, at which point Kraken either gets you there way more reliably than hypermetabollic, or Behemoth power gives way more output than the guy or 2 you'd save.
In the first list, deathspitters>>devourers. Never take devs, deathspitters are so much better for 1 pt it's a bit silly.

Yeah i agree the Rippers are not much of a screen. Funnily enough i do own 30 Termagants, but just wasn't keen on using them. I did initially have Kraken for the Genestealer battalion, but thought the 4+ FNP on Overwatch might be key as you never know what front-line you might be charging into (TAU would make my cry i think) Was tossing up between the Deathspitters and Devourers, just thought weight of shots. I will definitely try and move the list around to fit all your recommendations though, thank you.

Are 3 units of 10 enough? i know they usually get run in larger numbers, but i will have the Hive Tyrant flapping around the midfield, so the back-line should be ok(ish)? Added in the 6th Hive Guard, so had to lower the 2nd unit of Stealers to 15 to compensate. Seems fine. I'd consider dropping the 3rd term squad to a ripper, and using the pts to bulk out the remaining term squads: gives you a better concentration of bodies to play with, and another ripper squad for DS objective capping. But how good this'd be will depend on your meta/missions.
Similarly I think similar size stealers are going to be better than a 20 and 15.

Final list, i feel pretty happy with this. Already have all the models, and its now 2000 pts on the nose. The last thing on my mind is i am really tossing up on replacing one of the Hive Tyrants Twin Devourers with Monsters Rending Claws, just so he is more useful against anything that appears in the backline (saved points would allow me to make both Genestealer units 18 instead of 17)... hmmm Sure it probably wont win any events, but generally the majority of players in my area bring fun and fluffy lists they enjoy fielding, and i think i will enjoy putting this on the board (sure there's always 1 or 2 players that bring the latest cheese meta) but as long as i can give people a good game, its all good with me ++ Battalion Detachment +5CP (Tyranids) [57 PL, 7CP, 806pts] ++

I think either or on the flyrant it fine: I personally basically always go hybrid, but it depends on role. From what little I've played, devs is generally better for playing back safely. For counter charge, MRC are obviously going to do more, but I'm not sure if you'd have the weight of attacks to do enough.
If you stick with devs, don't take toxin: it's pointless without a melee weapon, just take another gaunt/drop some for another stealer.
