That was discussed in the original BoB books, and Warriors are amongst our top choices for Obj sitters that do contribute quite a bit and arent helpless to others charging them. 24" cheap heavy bolters aint nothing to scoff at, esp if they're shooting on a 3+. Even with just 7 to deny GB, that's 21 HB shots, it'll kill scouts good. Warriors are like 18pts before stuff? They're a good points cost for how much they can tank with support. I only consider taking them Jorm because I want to use HG/Exo coming out of DS, otherwise Leviathan is probably the better choice like Sneggy has done.
Sadly Engineers cannot stack with KotH/Recon from memory, I would have loved that kind of option of a unit for a super scoring unit.
I think deepstriking Warriors is not a great choice - the Jorm option that was talked about is DSing them onto a central objective then letting them tank the damage out. But without Male/Mala, they're actually pretty killable (Resistance against 2D and 3D weapons, but still wholly killable) without expending too much effort as well. Not to mention a single SmashCap going in deep might just take them all out (the WLT kitted ones will go in with 6A, killing 6 Warriors upfront with 3+ rr1 and 2+ assuming everything hits. Take out 3 in shooting, and you're close to consistent squad wipe.) We want this unit to chain back to our Male/Mala always to get the benefits. I wish they could buy plates like Genestealers.
If we buy 2, give them both Adaptive, they can be a decent VC chassis carrier for defensible long range support that basically secures your half of the table and can maybe run up to contest the middle. I dont think they make great middle scrummers due to the type of things you'd face in melee range of the midfield (hint: mostly things that will 1-Punch Warriors to death) - Hormagaunts in Behemoth with the same benefits I think are better scrummers since they can stretch like mad, get more attacks, are cheaper, can get an easy -1ap to equalize the scale, and are also obsec with more bodies. They're of course less tanky than warriors, but you can take a lot more of them than you can warriors while giving up less vp (9 warriors without weapons are 162?pts for 27W + 27A, Hormagants are 150pts for 30W + 60A, giving up 1vp for Reaper vs the 4 for GB). Take Hormagants if you want damage pressure compared to Warriors, take Warriors if you're looking for more Effective Durable Wounds.
