Anyone try terminator warriors?

I want to DS terminator warriors that have the ignore -1 -2 AP, and +1 to cover with Jorm. 2+ save ignoring -1 and -2 is really good, and with catalyst support if they try to kill it then they're wasting a ton of shots. And in the assault if they kill a unit they can become -1 to hit. Has anyone tried it in game yet? The only other consideration is to stay back and use kronos for the exploding 5s and 6s (but need to be in cover and stay back), or the jorm spell to reroll all hits. mathematically they're similar but if you wanna charge then jorm is the way to go IMO. I'm thinking use the bomb for shoot twice.

Jorm only gets you to 3+ save, not sure how you are getting to 2+?  But yes, have 9 ravengers (that are way cheaper as well) all Jorg bring in 2 units of warriors with the ignores Ap1/2, 3 units of 9 with the heavy bolter weapons then twin link them all vs one target using the new power will be nice and have a prime for the warriors.  If one is getting targeting by something big use their new strat where they take 1 less damage as well.

You can also walk them up the board with a malantrope and maleceptor with his new strat and now bolters are -1 to hit and wounding on 5's in addition to all the warriors new toughness stated above.  I would still give them rending claws if not people will just charge them in CC since most of the buffs work vs shooting only so they need to be decent in CC as well or a squad of 5 marines will charge you just to tie you up.

But you can't take that AND the ignores AP 1/2, once something has an adaption, it can't have a 2nd.

Well in this case, I'd rather take the 2+ save as a -2 just takes them back to their normal save anyway.

Ignore cover ruins that idea and you would have 3+ saves in cover vs ap-1 and -2, not 4s.

IC would put you to 5/6's You stay 4+ with the ap ignore

That's how I'm running my Shockguard now. Jorm tunneling for 3+ and ignore -1 and -2. Make my opponent sink A LOT into removing them. 😈

I had a go at two big squads of ignore -2 ap warriors backed up by a maleceptor. I had them as Kronos, the power was good but i felt they were less flexible than jormungander. They felt quite tanky and good fish out a decent amount over the course if the game. I'm going to 1k tournament early in the year where i will try them out. Hopefully with a practice game or two beforehand.

Pretty much everything in the book has some kind of "gotcha".  Either they lock you into a hive fleet choice, or you've got to jump through hoops that nobody else has to do in order for the gimmicks to work, or you need to kill models in the unit you need to charge in order to get the charge bonus (f'n genius).

I did try out a single big 9 unit of Warriors brought in with a Trygon. Popping up near the enemy line brought all the guns to bare which did have a nice impact while the Trygon was free to charge the close target and cause some havoc. My opponent had a hell of a time pivoting to try to displace them during the game and they absorbed alot of firepower.

Granted, his plan was made more difficult because he had not heard of the Warriors stratagem to reduce damage to them. I don't think he'll rely on D3 damage next time against them.

I like them because they present another target to saturate the field with threats. It seems to vex people when a big unit like this pops up in the back field or flank.

Yeah, just open a bit remaining at 2.9" with and leave space for the top of the oval base to charge.

I had no problems to do that with 30 man dakkagants, there won't be any problem with a 9 man warrior unit, even if they have bigger bases.

A unit being wholly within just means every model needs to be within that 3". There should be more than enough space with appropriate placements.

I've done 6 shock guard with an almost full squad (or full, dont rememeber) of devilgaunts with a red terror taxi.
