tyrannocyte and dedicated transport rules

So how's these works? As nids idk.

If I'm getting it right, you may have one tryannocyte per every other tyranid unit in your army. so If you have a battalion + 1 elite, thats 6 for 2 hq, 3 troop, and the elite. For a full brigade, that'd be 18 dedicated transports? Is my understanding correct? Also, dedicated transports count in the 50% points on the board rule, right? Thanks.

Yes you can have one dedicated to any unit that it says it can carry, albeit we can't put multiple units in for some reason like any other army that has this option. I guess Primes buffing Warriors is too strong.

The only exception we as Nid players have to the 50% is the GSC blips (counts unit as deployed) and "They Came From Below" which is not even really a stretch as they all were on the board for the start of turn 1.

If I'm not mistaken you get 1 pod per unit that isn't another pod and they count as your 50% for points.

This is the point I find in contention. Does it have to be able to carry the unit if I want to spam transports? I don't see that in any faqs. So a knight would allow and extra razorback

You can leave them empty by all means. This had some merit in 7th? With Astartes pods just blocking traffic at 35points.

OK, so the way DTs work, is that most detachments have 1 slot for DT per each other slot occupied in that detachment.

So ravagers creating slots for DT venoms is totally a thing. But no, you're never going to get a knight to allow another razorback, or triple flyers.

iirc the DT rules are in the rules for the detachment. Check the BRB section detailing battalions for example.

Yeah. So battalions get DT slots, 1 for each other slot in that battalion. Knights can only go in a SH det, which doesn't get DT slots: similarly with air wing (i.e. 3 fliers). As well, it can't go with an SM detachment.

But as above, check BRB.
