Multiple Cult Creeds in ITC

Hey y'all. I've finished about 100 models of my cult, all in the same scheme, save for the brood brothers. Now I'm looking at bringing them out to some ITC events.

Up to this point I've only played in casual events where I ran mono cult(4AE) for simplicity and clarity but in competitive I want to run something like a 4AE, a Bladed Cog, and a mixed batallion. I know this is pretty typical. How different do they need to be painted to pass at an event like LVO?

I'm pretty sure locally I could get away with different colored shoulder pads or even base rings but I want to plan for the worst case.

Base rings are fine. I've never had an issue. I paint the rims different stand up colors, no complaints.

That is what i do since my list has like 140ish models lol.  I think it looks kind of lame but it works.  I take it a step further and paint the bases of my heavy weapons, squad leaders, special weapons etc so it makes those easier to find.  I also use 3D printed movement trays for the bigger squads and my models are magnetized to the trays.

Honestly some of it I HAD to.  I play in lots of tournaments and team tournaments and when I was first practicing the list games would take like 4+ hours (I had to start practicing with a death clock ).  Then even the cleanup between rounds was brutal, to find my models and get them organized and then the next round would start and I was still finding my rock saws buried in a pile of 40-80 dead acolyte models so I was at risk of not being ready for the next round!  I had to do something to speed it up, so the trays, color coding, bands, all are part of that.  The magnetizing and conversions were just a way to save money originally AND became a passion project.

Just start slow and work your way up.

You mean just a rubberband "necklace" or something that fits around the base?
I'd love to find some cheap base rings that dont increase the base size but the only thing I've see is quite pricey (squadmarks, I think its called).

You can get the rubber bands like 100 or so for I think 1-2$ at the dollar store.

That would be a perfect solution for unpainted models. But I couldn't bring myself to put rubber bands on my painted stuff.
I think I'm going to try strips of colored tape on the rim of the base. I could just line it up in the front and trim it at the bottom with an exacto. Or even just wrap it under. It will be annoying to do 200 times but quicker than painting the base rims, and I can just peel it away if I change things.
