Mind control additional attacks

If I mind control an enemy unit that has a weapon that gives it additional attacks, can I attack once then attack with the weapons that give it additional attacks?

I checked and am not seeing a FAQ about it. I'm thinking yes. Thoughts? Any TO rulings?

It depends on the weapon.

Mind Control lets you make 1 attack.
So weapons like the Chainsword that say the model may make an additional attack when they Fight don't work. Your only allowed 1 attack.
But something like a Knights Titanic Feet that say 'make 3 hit rolls for each attack' do work because your only making 1 attack (an attack that rolls 3 dice)

I was interpretting it as you get one attack due to mind control. The additional attacks come from the model. Does anyone know how this works for the 4+ shoot again or fight once relics?

You get one attack, not one fight. So unless the unit has ways of making additional attacks when it makes an attack (e.g. extra hit rolls per attack), rather than when it fights, you just roll 1.

4+ fight/shoot on death is the same for CC (but worse for shooting, being just one weapon: I still don't understand why the restriction is there for MC). One attack with a cc weapon. At least for us/SM.

extra attacks are just that, extras. You get a single fight action, but are still granted any extras allowed because of it. (I choose to fight with the chainsword, I get my one attack but the rule of the chainsword is{Each time the bearer FIGHTS (Ie attacks) it can make one ADDITIONAL attack.})

If this werent the case you couldnt use a knights stomp as three attacks because they're both abilities of the weapons.

Not officially, i guess it's more of a theory, but I think of it like this.

If the model has a x+ extra hit rule, would you get it if you satisfied the requirement?
I believe so, there very well may be something supporting my theory in the faqs but it's dinner atm and I'm one handing it atm lol

I've been out of the game for a minute but I am pretty sure that this was something we've been complaining about since the power came out, and it wasn't because we got full attacks.

I kind of misread what you said. I think you're probably right but I really dont have anything to back it up other than that's how the rules work with those weapons, and it doesn't spell out you dont get any extra effects.

That's my feeling too and why I site knight feet as a looking lens.

But Knight feet are worded differently from chainswords.

A chainsword is an extra attack when the model fights. (a word never mentioned in the Mind Control power)
Titanic Feet roll 3 dice when making an attack. (which Mind Control does mention)

Mind Control doesn't say to Fight with 1 attack.
It tells you to make 1 attack

A Fight as per the rulebook includes a pile in and consolidate. Something I think everyone agrees on you don't get with Mind Control.
Because Mind Control is not a fight, it doesn't trigger rules that go off when you fight, like a chainsword.

It says "or make a single close combat attack as if it were the fight phase." I took that to mean that any extra attacks should apply.

The counter argument I can see is that it says a single attack, so you only get one attack with any profile.

I sent a question to gw for a FAQ related to all similar abilities.
