Brood Brothers infantry squad.

Hey everyone.

So I'm starting to build up a small Cult force and had some questions for y'all concerning a squad of Brood Brothers.

1) In a unit of 10 do you prefer the grenade launcher or the flamer? One of each? Worth the points?

2) If they're riding around in a Chimera what weapon load out do you choose? Is the multi laser any good? Should I go dual flamers or bolters?

Really whatever you want them to do. But if it's just outputting shots, double GL is not bad.

BB are used mostly just as naked bodies to hold ground so not many upgrades on them if at all.

Same with the chimera. I would keep it low pts as possible. Whatever you put on it won't get much results regardless.

I would say, everyone with a lasgun and a smile and nothing else and skip the chimera because it just provides a target for enemy lascannons. We have precious little in the way of beefy targets for anti-tank weaponry. If we avoid putting any in our list that is a big chunk of enemy firepower that has to settle for suboptimal targets. If we only take one or two we are basically just handing our opponent some easy target priority on a silver platter for little to no gain. If on the other hand you are bringing in some brood brothers tank commanders and maybe a couple armored sentinels and a rock grinder then we have enough to make it worth taking vehicles, but I think GSC does its best work with all infantry on the board. When your beefiest lascannon target is a biker or abberant, you are doing it right ;-)
