If you are reading this Thread then you are interested in making Tyranids and that are more unique then avarage.
So lets Begin!
Number 1:
Explosive Genestealers From Space Hulk
Suicidal Apex Predator, Bioblaster Genestealer, Miasmic Biomorph
These 3 types of Genestealer have one thing in common. After Death they leave toxic materials (acidic slime, toxic gas, agressive microorganisms). If you choose to make one of these you need to know how they look like. The most easy is the Suicidal Apex Predator. This variant is a Purestrain Genestealer with purple tomours on its Back. You can make such tomours with Green Stuff. It might not be easy at first but with practice you can make them eventually. Next is the Miasmic Biomorph. This one is perhaps more easy then then the Suicidal Apex Predator. It is a Purestrain Genestealer that has a light green glow in the cracks of its Body. You can make this variant by applying neon green paint in the cracks of the Genestealer's body. The third and maybe the hardest variant in this category is the Bioblaster Genestealer. It has tomours on its back like the Suicidal Apex Predator but the tomours are white and this variant has a more complicated design. This variant has a head with an exeptionally long tounge and a toxic sack on its chin (that head can be found in the Genestealer Brood kit). Instead of a Pair of rending Claws it has Scythes witch can be made with the Genestealer kit but using Scythes from the Ravener kit makes it more accurate. It also has a longer Tail than a normal Genestealer witch can be made with Green Stuff.
Number 2:
So many Scythes
Scythe-Strain, Bulwark Biomorph, Reaperfex Biomorph, Stalker-Strain Genestealers
The next 4 variants are a bit harder to make but with experimenting and practice you can make these too. Lets look at the Stalker Strain first. This variant has the Ymgarl/Feeder Tendril Head and a Pair of Scythes. The size is of a Purestrain Genestealer with Ravener/Warrior Scythes. So to make this variant you need to buy a Ravener/Warrior kit. Next up the Bulwark Biomorph. This variant can be made by replacing the rending Claws of a Purestrain with the Scythes from the Hybrid Metamorph kit. This a bit costly because one Hybrid Metamorph kit has one of this type of Scythe. But if you have two that type of Scythe then you are in luck. The next step in making this variant is by putting the Shoulder Plates on to the Genestealer's Back (they can be found in the Genestealer Brood kit). Next is the Reaperfex Biomorph. You can make this variant by giving a Genestealer the Ymgarl/Feeder Tendril head and a Pair of Scythes that can all be found in the Genestealer Brood kit. The last variant in this category is the Scythe-Strain. This variant camn be made in 2 sizes. Normal Genestealer size or Broodlord size.
The Normal size can be made by giving a Genestealer the blind Genestealer Head and a Pair of Ravener Scythes. The Broodlord Size version is a bit more complicated. You need to replace the Broodlord's rending Claws with Mawlock Scythes. Then you need to fill the Broodlord's eyesocets with Green Stuff.
Number 3:
Genestealers with Tools
These Genestealers can be made by modifying some pieces from the Hybrid Metamorph and Acolyte Hybrid kits. Lets say you want a Genestealer who has a Bonesword in one of its hands. This can be made cutting a Hybrid Metamorph hand piece in half then rounding out the section of the hand with Green Stuff where you want the hand to join the Body.
Number 4:
Ymgarl Genestealers
You can make Interesting Ymgarl Genestealer designs by modifying Deamonette Parts from the Daemonettes of Sleenesh kit. The Parts needed from that kit are the Claws of the Daemonette. You must take the Daemonette's Claw from the rest of the Arm by cutting it off.
Number 5:
A Hive Lord from Dawn of War 2
I think only i think that there is a difference between the Hive Lord and a Hive Tyrant....
But if you are on the same opinion than thanks. So i would classify the Hive Lord as a Hive Tyrant with only Scythes. If you want to build this thing the you need to use 2 Hive Tyrant kits.
Number 6:
Broodlord and Patriarch with Tools
This conversion is easy. For this one you need a Broodlord or Patriarch and a Warrior kit. You can switch out one of the Broodlord's rending Claws with a Warrior hand that has a Bonesword or Lash Whip. You even can give the Broodlord a Devouerer canon or Barbed Strangler. It purely depends on what you want.
Number 7:
Brood Guard
This conversion is easy too. The Concept behind this conversion is that maybe a Genestealer Brood's Broodlord has personal bodyguards like the Hive Tyrant. For this conversion you will need a Hormogaunt and a Genestealer Brood kit. The Brood Guard is basicly an armored Genestealer. You need to put a pair shoulder Carapace on the Genestealer then add two large spiked Carapace Plates witch you find in the Hormogaunt kit. If you want to you can add a pair of Scythes from a Mawlock/Trygon kit.
Number 8:
Multi-Race Genestealer Cult
This collection of Conversions is a bit difficult. You can make a Multi-Race Genestealer Cult by adding races to your Cult that are not human. In my opinion Genestealer-Ork hybrids are the easiest. So the way you can make these Hybrids is by replacing Ork mellee weapons with Boneswords and adding extra Limbs to your hybrids. The color of these Ork hybrids can be a mix between the Classic Genestealer and the Ork skin colors. If you want to go extra deep with your Ork hybrids you can make the Genestealer resembling carapace on their foreheads witch if you are skilled enough you can make from Green Stuff.
Number 9:
Ymgarl Broodlord
This Conversion is easy. You will need a Broodlord and a Zoanthrope kit. All you need to do is replase the Broodlord's face bits (mouth, tounge) with a Venomtrope head. If you want to you can acheive something simular by cutting of the Tentackles of the Ymgarl Genestealer Head.
Number 10:
Brood Tyrant
This conversion is easy. You'll need a Warrior/Hive Guard and a Genestealer kit. The conversions is basicly a Genestealer with a pair of Boneswords or Lash Whips.
I hope you found this helpful
