Good day hive i have 2 questions.

1) supose i have a magus and a familiar, i did not wanted to kill the familiar when the magus took damage, can i later try to kill of the familiar with unquestionable loyalty when the magus takes a hit?

2) The combined number of deep strikes and ambush bleeps cant exceed half the number of units in my list?

1. Yes: since the familiar has the unquestioning loyalty rule from the datasheet, it can take wounds for any Characters. Note that since patty doesn't have UL, his familiars can't.
2. No. Ambush blips count as units on the board for the purposes of tactical reserves (see FAQ).

Previous poster is right about #2 however you can put 3 blips back into DS and that can get over the 50% rule.  I have a list with 20 drops, 2K points, 999 is in DS and then 10 blips.  3 go back into DS that are worth about 650 points or something... so then I only have about 350 I need to hide.  The 3 that go back into DS can also come in after T3 as well since they count as starting on the table.

The maximum you can do is:

50% starting in Blips/on Table. 50% in Deepstrike.

Pull 3 units into Deepstrike using They Came From Below(?)

Pull 1 unit into Deepstrike on your turn using Return To The Shadows

Pull 1 infantry unit into Deepstrike using the Seismic Drill.

With this total combination, you can have around 80-95% of your army in reserve. I usually go up to RTTS, for a total of about 75% of my army in DS.

So assuming no stratagem shanenigans if i have 20 units i can set 10 in reserve, 5 as blips and 5 on the board?

Yes. You can also set 10 in reserves, and 10 in blips. Blips are counted as on the table for the purposes of Tactical Reserves.
